Yue stared awkwardly at the bat, Rain, wondering just what do do. Zinnia had given her instructions, the Elders were watching as if expecting some magnificent display but Yue wasn't cut out for this. She pointed to her throat and shook her head - how was she meant to negotiate if she couldn't even speak? "Oh, you're a mutie." Rain sighed as if sounding annoyed by all the fuss. "There, you can borrow my voice." It was almost as if the bat was wanting to be contracted to or something. The chain grew stronger and Yue felt as if she could speak, even if it wasn't truly her. She pricked her finger as told and opened her mouth, trying to forget the terror of being trapped between planes at this horrible creature's mercy. "Alluli Nefarious Summuno." The candles lit up, the chalk runes began to glow, the entire hospital room seemed like it's own little pocket world now.
It was time for a negotiation.
"So... um.... will you be bound to me? And you'll follow my orders... and not hurt me or hurt others unless otherwise ordered?" The most important thing was making sure the Fang of Teranos did not decide to terrorize others. Rain snickered, the tiny little shadow bat looking smug. "I can feast on your delicious mana, I have no need for others if I have yours." Apparently demons all had different compatibility with mages, and the one they're best suited for are the ones that they find the tastiest. "But I won't just be a slave. I want my own rights!" Rain humphed, folding her wings as if they were arms. Yue was trying to remember how Gillian Eldriss used negotiation but she had a feeling torturing Rain into whatever she wanted was not going to work.
"So I need to drink your mana if I'm to regain my mana. Demons lose most of our power when we come to this plane, Blithe buddy can attest to that." Rain stared into Yue's blue eyes. "And when we're hurt, we lose more power. So I want the right of safety so I can choose when not to get involved in danger, and the right of security so my food source won't get hurt. So you're not allowed to die, or I'll kill you!" That sounded reasonable. Yue didn't really feel like dying any time soon. "I can agree with that." She wasn't going to force someone to fight if they didn't want to, if they didn't think it was safe. As they agreed to their terms, the candles grew stronger and then the bat began to change.
When the smoke cleared Yue could see a human-like figure, of similar size to her as opposed to tall and busty like Blithe. Bat wings extended from her shoulders and a distinct feminine shape revealed itself. Pointed navy eyes shone through the darkness and a fanged smirk awaited her. "I'm Rain! Nice to meetcha. Enjoy being my food for as long as we live, kay?" Was this a mistake? Was this stupid? Yue did not know, but she only hoped Rain wouldn't torture and kill her. She timidly extended a hand that Rain readily grabbed, grinning toothily.
"Let's enjoy a long time together, Master!"
