Ahhh, what a relief that she wasn't home alone. Seeing Josie made Ethel smile bright, or as bright one could after getting more and more sick as it seemed. "Hi babygirl!" The blondie chipped back in a fake cheerfulness, grabbing her cup and heading over to grab some hot water and tea or just coffee. The letter from jail and from her father was peeking out of her heavy handbag, but she didn't really notice it. If anyone ever found that, she would break down in panic instantly. Being open about her past was really hard, and the issue of trusting someone over her limit was scaring Ethel more than she could ever describe. After all, her innocence had been robbed by some perverted movie director, when she was underage and didn't even had her first period yet.
"Just a moment ago," she finally replied, a sudden flash of coldness running over her skin and making her grab her own self into a tight embrace. Her intuition was screaming at her to stay home and heal that cold out, but she chose to ignore it... again. Noticing Twyla get back home as well, she smiled, but it was instant turn off as soon as Ethel heard the comment of being sick. So... she had been caught.
"Yeah, but I will be fine. Couple of meds and a hot tea and it will pass in no tim!" "Lies, you are such a liar," she scolded herself in her own mind and took a sip from her cup, staring at her friends, trying to convince them - and herself - that she was some kind of a superwoman. "Besides, I have no time to be sick." She grabbed her phone and saw one of her besties' message, and quickly replied, only to notice the group messages flooding her phone as well.
MSG: Dee
"Just come, when you can. Don't want to take you away from all those preps for the dinner!"
MSG: Mi Familia
"I don't know if I can make it today. Have acting classes!"
Ethel was trying to skip out of it again, although she knew perfectly well that Deanna would leave some food beside until she got back home to all of their little family after classes, but Ettie somehow felt that if her roomies saw that message, they would make her stay in with all means necessary. She didn't want to admit that it was something she certanly needed at that day.
