This boy was a charmer but Soliana knew he was trying to read her just as she was trying to read him. Almost a game… Annoying… but at the same time charming game….

Soliana listened to Tetsuo speak on a subject she knew quite well. She had heard of these battles and had been ordered by her parents to stay far from the border for her own safety. But she had heard the tales of raided villages and assaults on the border roads. She couldn’t help but have a glare cross her face as he said they blamed her nation for this.

What Tetsuo told her next only made things worse. The people had wanted this? Soliana wondered what lies this false king made to sway the people against their rightful king. What lies would nobles of her nation use to oust her? She had hoped for better...but maybe the people when just blind. She would have to make sure her people knew she cared and would always protect them.

How am I to be at peace with those who had taken away a friend and spread lies about her nation? Soliana thought as Tetsuo paused.

Then he asked his question and Soliana was silent almost as if she had not heard as she pondered in silence. She Didn’t answer him though but asked questions of her own…

”What would you do if a friend you grew up with was suddenly gone? And What would you do if you had to be friends to the one that took her away? Friends with someone that lies about you? And what if you had to to keep your family safe?”
