|| Dearly Beloved || Utada Hikaru ||
Once they were dressed and ready to go, Callisto got into the car, sitting beside Jace, who had changed into a pair of gray joggers and a hooded shirt. They were all incognito, not wanting to draw attention to themselves. "Look, I can see it from here!" Her eyes sparkled as they came across the museum, Callisto had previously been somewhat of a history buff, although a bit of her memory was fuzzy from all of the transfers she had gone through. The important things were still there of course, it was just, some of her memories were confused between what was herself and Lita. The building they were driving towards was not imposing on the landscape, in fact, it was built into a hillside, the roof made entirely of sod. The outside was a panel of solid stained glass and when the light hit it at just the right angle, it sent the image of the light bearer's markings across the ground.
They exited the car, attempting to debate where to start first. "That sounds good," since they wanted to save the Yui exhibit for last, it made sense to start at the farthest one. The Xavier and Damian exhibit was together and while the outside of the museum was unassuming, the inside was lined with history. There were artifacts from the war, including the actual holo screen Damian used to decode and send messages. In the entryway, a donation box was filled to the brim and Callisto found enough room to stick a bill inside to pay for their entrance fee. "Wow, this is beautiful," there was a statue dedicated to all those who had died, a large plaque with the engraved names of the light bearers who had perished.
The statue was made of bronze, they were children, appearing to be asleep, resting peacefully. Above them was a sign, reading about freedom. It repeated the phrase in several languages, each of which was translated by her inner systems when her eyes laid upon them. "It says that the Damian and Xavier exhibit is this way," Callisto pointed, leading them into the large room that depicted their histories. There was a small memorial to Jenny, flowers resting on the statue dedicated to her. In the center was a glowing holo screen, playing a live video feed of one of the fights that Damian and Xavier had been involved in.
"It's crazy to think that this was only a hundred years ago," that children were born with powers, that a child had saved the world from the oppression of light and darkness. Now, there was no such thing, there was no imbalance, children didn't have powers. Allyana Vorkov rebuilt Japan to be a mega empire, one that had exceeded the limits of imagination. Callisto couldn't wait to perform there, alongside some of the best pop idols that the world had ever seen.
