Elys sat on a chair in front of her home. It was dark despite being morning. Again news broke out of an assassination. There were hundreds of wizards and probably a dozen have been killed in the past year. The wizards were now in constant alarm mode, ramping up security and making unenforceable laws that cyborg mages couldn't enter the higher levels and that the creation of further cyborg mages was forbidden. Elys may have been "killed" before by a cyborg mage but she considered them nowadays somewhat of allies since she now is one herself while she now sees how wrong the wizards are.

She needed to look for a new source of income after her former employer was killed. Some goons hired by an upper caste did a hit on him. Elys was considering to be a mercenary like other cyborg mages or just go treasure hunting in the veins. She actually preferred the latter as it was less dirty and more flexible. She just needed people to go with her as some creatures were strong enough to overpower cyborg mages, even though they werent as common.

Elys then put on her adventuring gear and went to the next largest bar to maybe find companions.
