Gadget tensed at the first hard knock. She already knew who it was. It was a few seconds later before she decided she’d let her in. Gadget was tempted to pretend she didn't hear the knocks.. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she got out the bed. “Well, she took longer than I thought she would,” she murmured. Gadget opened the door and looked at Hellfire. She just knew she was not happy. Although, at this point, it seemed as if Hellfire was never happy. Hellfire just seemed angry all of the time. She sigh again. Her own mood wasn’t the best. She was cold, tired, and her head was pounding. Also, hunger was starting to make itself known.
“Hello Hellfire. I can fill in one of your memory gaps. You may need professional help if you have a hell of a lot of of gaps in your memory. Maybe too much drinking is the cause...” she said, her voice turning condescending in the end. A sigh escaped her lips again as she realized she had to try not to make things worst. She rolled her shoulders back and moved out of the doorway.
”Just come in. Try not to interrupt, yell, or cause a fire. You have worsened my mood with your obnoxious knocking and I have had no time to rest after healing you. I would think you could have given me some time to rest before coming to be unpleasant to me again,” she said. Gadget turned around and walked over to her bed. She was tempted to lay down, but just sat cross legged on her pillow. Gadget grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around her shoulders. Once settled and comfortable enough, she looked at Hellfire. Her lips pressed together in distaste..
“Here is the short version. While we were dealing with Et Salvus, someone said to hold on to something...and you didn’t. You went flying and hit your head on something metal...” she paused and took in a deep breath, “Once we were safe, I...healed you. In the process, I had to straddle you. It was the easiest way to do my healing without moving you too much...Although, I guess it may have looked like I straddled you and kissed your neck. To make things clear now, I didn’t kiss your neck. I just cupped your ear to be able to...sing...into it. It is one of the two ways we healed. I decided singing would be the more acceptable way.”
She had to stop talking, so she could rub her face. Gadget finally felt warm because she had started to blush once she mentioned straddling. She knew she just did it to heal, but she wasn’t sure how Hellfire would take it. Roz had thought she kissed Hellfire’s neck. She could imagine the rumors that would grow from that comment. Gadget gave up with trying to rub the blush away after thirty seconds. She placed her hands in her lap and laced her fingers together. Gadget focused on her hands and cleared her voice softly.
“What are you questions? I didn’t bring Et Salvus here if that is what you are thinking. It wouldn't be too smart of me to do that. They do have a bounty on my head...you can look it up. Just search my name...Eon Casper,” she added. She unlaced her fingers to use her left index finger to trace the scar on her right arm. It helped her not feel so anxious. She didn't think she would like Hellfire's questions. Also, memories had started to trickle in.
