Miriam woke to the sound of a knocking on her door. Miranda was still wrapped in her arms and Miriam couldn’t even remember when they had drifted off to sleep. another knock caused Miranda to stir. Thankfully no more dreams had come to her last night.

”You should get that…” Miranda muttered sleepily.

Miriam rose from the bed gently releasing Miranda from her arms. Walking over she opened the door to see the Taira there. Miriam started to smile and greet but then she saw the goddess’ face. Soon the news of Xia’s death and Quinn calling a gathering was relayed.

Miriam could only glance back to Miranda as Taira left. Miranda’s voice was weak as she asked. ”Was it Era?”

Miriam frowned. ”There is only one way to know…” she said with a sigh. Was it Era? Miriam wondered. Or the bandit that had visited her? ”We shouldn’t keep Quinn waiting…”

Miranda quickly dressed Miriam had no need as she had fallen asleep still dressed. The two made their way to the meeting spot in silence. both lost in their thoughts trying to piece together who could have killed Xia and why…

As they come upon the meeting spot Miriam spoke up ”What happened? And where’s Quinn?”
