Klara was waiting impatiently outside solitary confinement, her leg shaking a million miles an hour. She was now unfortunately familiar with the jittery anxiety of a nicotine addict. Then Morrigan emerged, and everything became perfectly still as they embraced.

“I missed you so much!! Would you like to freshen up back at the ward before we visit the garden?” asked Klara.

“I want to go straight to the garden.” said Morrigan.

Klara swiftly led Morrigan through the ancient corridors. They arrived at the garden and Klara whipped out her nicotine inhaler.

“Are you using that for real now?” asked Morrigan.

“Ya, you want one?” asked Klara.

"Sure.”

“Okay, I’ll be right back.” Klara briskly fled to the nurse's station to ask Laurel for another nicotine inhaler.

“I only have cigarettes, darling, I’m sorry.” said Laurel.

Klara dutifully brought a cigarette back to Morrigan, who grasped it in her palm.

“I don’t want this. I’m still afraid of fire.” said Morrigan.

When Klara reached to take the cigarette back a tiny voice said “afraid of fire.”

“What was that?? asked Morrigan.

“was that??” said the tiny voice.

“Klara, I think it’s coming from the tobacco!” said Morrigan.

“the tobacco!” said the tiny voice.
