As Miranda listened to Quinn’s words a deep sadness filled her heart. What had happened to the friend she thought she knew? Her look was cold. Like her Father’s… Miriam must have been having somewhat the same thoughts as Miranda looked over at her.
Suddenly a mock clapping cut though the deadly silence. ”Spoken like a true tyrant.” Miriam seethed as her clapping died.
”Mira please this isn’t the time” Miranda pleaded.
”And when is the time?” Miriam growled. ”After Your beloved friend puts us all in a grave like dear Xia?”
Miranda went silent looking at Quinn as Miriam turned to the others. ”I’m not afraid to die… What I am afraid of is that we are just replacing one tyrant with another one.”
Miriam pointed to Quinn. ”I don’t know who this woman is… She is not the same person I pledged my service to.”
