Zeke’s pod landed on the planet’s surface, which then opened automatically just before he stepped out. He drew his weapon ready for anyone foolish enough to attempt to ambush him.

“No one...I have to say I’m slightly disappointed.”

Vegna chuckled in his mind as he said this.

“Why? You should be thankin’ your so-called God that no one is here ‘cause you can’t fight for shit and I might not feel inclined to help ya kid.”

Zeke looked around, taking in all this strange new planet had to offer. He always did this when he arrived at a new place. “Knowing your surroundings can mean the difference between life and death” he always used to say, just as Vegna laughed every time he heard it. Zeke spotted the city he was to head for straight away.

“Doin’ it again ain’t ya kid? Ha ha ha.”

Zeke chose to ignore Vegna’s words and began to move toward the large nearby city, of course nearby was maybe one hour away judging by the size of the city’s image but it was relatively close by Zeke’s reasoning, the reasoning of a crusader. He sheathed his blade in the strap on the back of his pants beside his other blade and ran for the city, while Vegna stayed uncharacteristically quiet in his mind.
