Horik felt a stab of pain in her side as she finally stopped running to catch her breath. She turned around to the stupid village idiots who had gotten themselves stuck in the entrance to the alley. However as she did, the sun began to sink and a strange sound filled the air. One of the woman had begun crying and laughing, her shrieks mingled with gleeful giggles. A smell assaulted Horik's nose and Horik gagged.

She dug around in her pocket for a bandana and heard a sickening squelch as she pulled it out. One man's face came up to look at her and as he did, she noticed something dripping from his chin. Her eyes widened. Horik felt her legs stiffen even as she dug for a small vial. She had to know what was going on.
