Syra slummed in the chair as the worm uncoiled itself from her. The old woman gagged on her knees, steam coming from her scalding throat as she struggled to breathe. She gave the worm one last look before falling onto her face, still boiling water pouring from her parted lips, quickly absorbed into the sand.


"Huh..." Syra stirred, her senses beginning to return. "Wha-what happened?" She asked, her hand resting on her forehead. She shook her head in a vain attempt to clear away the fog when her eyes rested on the worm and M'Kama. "What...what is that?" She asked, then she saw the stall owner laying on the ground, dead. "What the hell happened? I drank a sip of tea and...oh..." the pieces began falling into place. "You, you two saved me, from her?" she gestured to the dead woman.
