Horik look up and saw Asch's hand reaching down towards her. She completely ignored it though as she stepped closer to the massive pile of writhing flesh. Goggles down, Horik was close enough to extend a hand towards them even as their bodies contorted and there were intermittent bursts of screaming or laughing. There was more slime and Horik noticed some had dribbled down to her feet. She knelt down to collect a sample of it in her vial but as she did, one of the crying corpses lodged itself free and leapt for Horik.

Clinging the vial in one hand, the best the explorer could do was scramble back and her attacker fell on empty space. It seemed dazed and Horik took the opportunity. She scrambled to her feet and ran towards Asch but as she took his hand, the screeching woman lunged.

The worm sensed M'kama leaving and turned towards Syra who seemed to be deliberating on what to do. It moved towards the man that lay on top of water and brought it massive head close. It seemed to be inspecting it despite having no eyes or nose but if Syra had been looking at it, she could have been able to tell it was curious about the man. In an instant, the head flared and the worm struck forward. A massive hole had opened up at the tip of the worm and it began to swallow the man whole.
