Their hands fit too perfectly together. It was almost as if the universe had created this moment just for the two of them. Everything just felt so right in a time that was supposed to be wrong. When they were supposed to be saying goodbye and separating themselves from one another. Instead they had formed an even stronger bond that was sealed by a kiss. The feel of his lips continued to linger on her own and she was trying not to give off the fact that she was going to have to be buried with her glass rose. The light from the house was now in view and they continued walking until they slipped through the kitchen door. Her eyes immediately found Rowan and Raelyn, whom seemed to be in the kitchen waiting for them. "See? I told you they were okay." Belle smiled, not letting go of Izzy’s hand. ”Hi. Sorry we were gone for so long, Rae.” The witch just assumed Raelyn would have been the one to worry. Ro and Belle can magically sense one another, so they never really have to worry.
Raelyn was sad that Rowan pulled from the hug, but there was only so much she could ask from him. The fact that he even hugged her really showed how much he cared about her. She was holding him to his promise. She doesn’t know what she would do if he didn’t ever come back. Or worse. She didn’t have time to worry about that, Izzy and Belle finally came back. She smiled back at Belle, raising an eyebrow as she saw the two of them holding hands. Another thing that she wasn’t going to address at the moment. ”That’s okay. I am glad you guys are safe.” A yawn escaped her. Raelyn didn’t even realize she was tired. All that worrying about everyone else that she was not paying attention to her need for sleep. She looked to her brother. ”Please make sure that these two get to their rooms okay..” Then she glanced over to Belle. ”See you at breakfast.” Raelyn wasn’t asking. Belle could tell the farmer was serious about being here in the morning so she just nodded. ”Good night.”
Without even thinking about it, she leaned up and placed a sweet kiss on Rowan’s cheek. It was mostly as a thank you for easing her nerves about everything. She, however, was not sticking around to explain anything. Raelyn took her leave and retreated upstairs to get ready for bed.
Belle waited for Rae to disappear before smiling brightly at Rowan. There were so many questions circling in her head and she was sure that he could tell she wanted to ask them all at once. Why did Raelyn kiss him? Why did he let it happen? What happened while they were gone? She was getting light headed with all her over thinking. She then glanced to Izzy. ”Um. I need to talk to Ro alone for a second. I will say goodnight before I go to bed.” She said, mostly so he knew that she wasn’t planning on just running away while him and his sister were asleep.
