“Ash told me about multiverse theory.” Meira muttered. “Blame him.”
Ruby was about five seconds from losing it. This was gold. Comedy fucking gold. So much better than Riley and Ella meeting or Ash kidnapping Riley, or hell, Meira’s original run into Ash. Nothing could have prepared her for this entertainment upon running into her own characters, which made it that much sweeter. She was going to have to make them suffer some more when she escaped.
“Logically and numerically speaking, the multiverse is a highly plausible theory, especially as we don’t know where the Great Filter is compared to our point in evolution, and we don’t have feasible means of finding out how the universe came to be, what came before it, and what else might be out in space. For all we know, our next logical step in evolution is to die a mass death. Either way, we can all fantasize. I mean, when our parents were children, the kind of technology we have now would have been considered ridiculous, and even farther back to our grandparents and great grandparents, magic. We’ve evolved very quickly in a short span of time. Of course, this exponential evolution could also imply that we are rapidly speeding towards the Great Filter, but at least there are theoretical other worlds and universes out there to pick up where we left off.” Ash explained animatedly.
They should not have gotten him on that topic. Not at all. He loved that topic.
“So the child, his ultimate title has something to do with screaming.” Ruby decided. “Isaac, yours is unclear, fine, Hidayat, yours is cultist… Well, you did just try to sacrifice the child, but I can’t imagine you’re that bad. Probably just ridiculous fodder for an excuse trying to bring people in here.”
Or the higher powers are fucking with you greatly.
“And Ash and Meira, yours are?”
“Logician. Which is apparently a thing, I guess.” Ash answered.
“I don’t know the word for what mine is.” Meira shrugged.
Which meant it had something to do with the pre Ash period. Fucking fabulous. Maybe she was the ultimate murderer or something.
