Ash was surprised by Syra's outspokenness, how she outright threatened the Witch. She obviously had gone through some changes since the events in Schittle. Clearly more than he was aware of, as her comment about the planet being 'glassed' would indicate. The Witch agreed to show them to the artillery, again, far more easily than Ash expected. It made him nervous.
The group continued along golden hills as their guide used a set of tongs as a makeshift cane. They finally arrived at the shells, and for Ash, the whole world went silent. People spoke, but all he could hear in his ears was the rush of blood. His mind was in a million locations all at once as he stared at the gleaming artillery shells.
Ash snapped out of his trance at the comments by one of the Witch's slaves and M'Kama. "Yes, of course it's Sorillian. Sorillians invented war after all." He smirked sarcastically. His gaze went to M'Kama briefly a moment. "We might even ensure the Galaxy's safety..."
