Ajax frowned at the last part, though it was really no surprise nowadays with the amount of drama that weaved its way in and out of the camp on a regular time schedule so it seemed. He knew people like them, like Demigods, would never have a normal life... but was it much to ask? just a while longer where everything could feel peaceful for a change. "Who? and not to be funny or anything, Ethan, but... I don't know you enough to share my concerns. I hope you understand. Tell me, who am I to be aware of now, if it's not Mason?"
"I saw that pair right before we left for Olympus and they weren't arguing."
Ajax presumed he was talking about Mason and Andy. "Go on..."
"There was this petite short hair blonde hair girl with them. She recently influenced my friend Heath somehow to go with her, I think to ride with her."
"Really? - well, there is only one Goddess I know capable of influencing others like a serpent charmer... Hera. She's got to be the daughter." Ajax had heard so many stories of that jealous witch. For such a long time she has had feelings for Zeus, but he never returned them quite the same the day he met Ajax and Alex's mother. Since then, Hera had wanted to kill Zeus's children, since they reminded her of that mortal her king had grown strong feelings for which hadn't changed. He had agreed that she could be Queen, but only if she kept her claws away from his children.
"I could be wrong here, but it wouldn't surprise me if she had the ability to influence people around her. I just don't trust her. Unfortunately, I don't know her name. Heath's actually keeping an eye on her now. I just thought I'd warn you though.
Ajax nodded. "Thank you. I'll do the same as Heath."
"Oh, by the way, I don't think I ever got your name."
Just as Ajax was about to tell Ethan his name, and to question him further about the troublesome little blonde that he could have sworn he had seen before at camp, someone else had turned up near the balcony of the Acropolis. He recognized the pretty ebony woman as Hestia. He smiled politely as he faded a little into the background to give her time with her son before she quickly left. "Is your mom single?" he teased, grinning.
After Ethan's mother left, it was Iliana and her mother who had approached.
He wished that people would stop apologizing, especially since it wasn't Ilianna's fault for the way she is. He didn't mind, but they were too busy keeping him happy, no doubt due to him being the son of a King he didn't care about. At the moment. He had always had issues with Zeus leaving them when they were young, but only because he never understood why his father couldn't stay, or why he didn't choose his family over a throne. If Ajax had been in his shoes, he would have chosen Andy in a heartbeat than be a King, but the way she was acting these days... he wasn't even sure she even loved him anymore.
"My daughter is very shy Ajax. She knows you've been having a rough time lately and wanted to give you a gladiolus wreath to help cheer you up. She picked that flower because it means strength and she hopes you'll have the strength to get through these trying times. Go on and give one to him Iliana."
Ajax smiled as she made her way toward him, then took the wreath from her gently. He placed it on top of his like a flower crown. "Quick, Iliana. Take a picture with me." but she had quickly made her exit away from him. He didn't blame her, especially with how angry he felt earlier, but he could actually feel himself relaxing now. He felt better in the company of normal.
Ethan sighed
"Don't mind Iliana. She's been through a lot herself recently and is very wary of people she doesn't know. It's actually why she doesn't talk at the moment. So if you see her writing in a notebook, it's basically how she 'talks' now. Heath and I are hoping this camp will help her find her voice again and the 'old' Iliana can return. But hey at least now I know your name. Ajax right?"
"Yes, I'm Ajax. Look... It's fine. Honestly. She reminds me a little of Alex when she was younger. Probably not as shy, but.." he chuckled. "You don't have to be sorry since none of you have done anything wrong. If anything... she's actually cheered me up." It was just a small gesture of kindness, but it left an impact on him since it brought back memories on how kind and caring Alex was before all of this mess with the trial. "Ethan... do you think you could help me find Hecate? I forgot... I have to ask her something. It's important." he pulled out the bracelet from his pocket to show him. "Apparently, this is the cursed object that made my sister kill Mason's sister since Hades and Jennova found out it was Alex's favorite. It was ironically, the gift our mother gave her when Alex was born."
