"The bleeding has stopped, and his healing's been brought along about two days. That's the best I can do. But he's out of danger," Apollo said quietly. Lucian nodded as Markus croaked something and grinned at Lucian. "Asshole. And, actually, I think it was you that said we shouldn't work together any more?" He teased, laughing a little with relief. Moving Markus was going to be interesting, though. The hero didn't look like he could stand, let alone walk back to either of their apartments. And calling a taxi was just going to result in too many questions
"You need a lift?" Apollo asked suddenly, almost begrudgingly. "My car's not too far from here." Lucian looked over to study the hero for a moment. He mentally reached out to see if he could read the healer's thoughts- but that aspect of his ability had disappeared again, there for a moment and gone just as quick. So instead, he just studied the hero's body language for a moment.
"Sure, that'd be great," Lucian replied. He couldn't see anything to warn him, but that didn't mean he wasn't wary. "Alright. I'll go get the car, you... hold on here." Lucian nodded, turning his attention back to Markus. He'd hardly realised that his hand had been on Markus' shoulder the whole time, and he pulled it away. "So. Guess we're even now, huh?" He asked with a smirk. "Come on, let's see if we can't get you to your feet. Lean on me as much as you need, okay?" He said calmly, as though his heart wasn't still pounding and his head wasn't still swimming.
