"You are to sit here and sit pretty." Chief Bouldstone said, glaring at Yulissa. They saw the flags rising, the storm clouds overhead the mountain home of the Varians. The Assault Unit was here, even Yulissa could sense their mana coming. They were ready to attack. "The Varians and our Fae family will defend this mountain to our very last." Yulissa nodded silently, not wanting to speak. Azure looked over at her in worry, tail flicking back and forth. "Mistone, you stay here, you're too young to fight." All the warriors of Var Nayya had already left their memories on the Memory Tree. They were prepared to die for their home. What stupid barbarians, allowing themselves to be manipulated and controlled like this. "You will witness our victory over your kind, Magnolian Queen."
As he left, Mistone smiled, brewing some sort of tea using fire and a primitive looking pot. It looked awful - how could these mages live lives like this? Why was everything so uncivilized here? But still, it was their primitive lives. If they wanted to live like this they deserved that right. If Yulissa was not the Queen of Magnolia she would have volunteered to raise her wand for the sake of these filthy barbarians. "The battle is starting." Yulissa could see the sparks flying in the distance from Chief Bouldstone's stony home at the peak of the mountain city. "Many of you barbarians are going to die trying to fight off the Assault Unit." Even the special fae defenses weren't going to last against Magnolia's standing army. "That's okay. If we're meant to live, then we will live." Mistone chirped, still peppy as she served the tea for them.
Azure drank it gratefully. "Am I allowed to hope this ends peacefully?" She asked, voice wavering. It was fairly clear the mana sniffing cat was about to burst into tears. "I don't want this place hurt, but I'm loyal to my home!" Yulissa was admittedly having difficulites herself. Still, she had no choice in the matter. "I can't really drink." Her hands were bound after all. "Can you remove the vines?" Mistone looked a tit and shook her head. "Daddy says you need to have them on." She was only going to listen to what her father said, wasn't she? "If you don't untie me, your father might die." Yulissa really didn't want to be stuck here when the worst came to pass. Maybe there was something, anything she could do.
"My daddy can win! I believe in him." Mistone shook her head again but stood to offer to hand serve Yulissa the tea, who drank it. It was slightly burnt and it tasted primitive with none of the sophistication tea in Magnolia did. "We could help protect your home." Azure offered, knowing what her Master was trying to do. "Can you let us go?" Mistone smiled and pulled some candy out. "Stay here with me! I'm supposed to entertain you two!" Yulissa stared at the gelatin rubber glob. It was the strangest candy she'd ever seen.
