A shadow of a grin formed on her face when she saw Phoenix duck back into the cafe to look for the jam that the new guy asked for. She gave him the cautious side-eye, that was until she heard her phone beep in her jacket's pocket, which caused her to quickly take it out and look who messaged her. She grinned as she saw it was Phoenix simply asking her to stop looking at him like that. She chuckled and simply replied back with as much sass as he was deserving of, Maybe when you stop giving him those eyes, then just maybe. Or if you continue, I will scare this one off. Your choice, lover boy. she said in response to Phoenix' plea. She tucked her phone back into her pocket and got out of the seat, deciding it was best she left, otherwise she'd get ahead of herself and forget what she needed around the town before she went home.

She gave the new guy another look, this one was a tad bit longer of a gaze as she couldn't exactly nail what she was thinking, something was...Off about this one. With one last look she shook her head and walked out of the door, giving Phoenix one last friendly word of advice and good luck, and left. Seeing Alex and Aurora talking across the street she gave them an awkward wave and proceeded to walk to the nearest store for some last-minute supplies before she would make her way back to her house in the woods. In all public eye she was the outgoing, friendly type of social butterfly everyone would love to be friends with, but in reality, Jaiden wished she could just disappear and never have to interact with anyone ever again, simply out of fear of hurting someone else, but she knew it was impossible, especially with the supposed Hunters coming. And she was slowly getting more and more scared as time passed.

A soft sigh escaped his lips as the woman named Evelyn continued talking, something Markus didn't normally mind. But, she just didn't stop talking. It was like she was almost a machine, that never ran out of fuel. He did the best he could to remain calm and hold his composure as she rambled on about how did he know she was new to being a vampire and such. A small grin spread across his face, but it soon faded as he thought of an answer. "Well, yes and no. It's, complicated really." he began to speak as they continued walking with the body. He could feel a slight tug as he assumed Evelyn began to drop the man, stopping in his steps as she got a hold of him again, and they resumed walking.

"By that I mean you have tells of being new. For a vampire, you're awfully cheery and rather, in a sense, still rather human. And by that I mean you don't have the normal signs of an aged and experienced vampire. And there's nothing wrong with it in general, but when it comes to Hunters, it shows you're new, vulnerable, and not as skilled as others are. You make an easier target, and your newness, once it's exposed, can easily be used against you." he finally stopped and took a breath, he didn't normally talk this much and it was beginning to show. He took a moment to compose his mind and let him think for a moment before he began to speak again.

"You need to study and examine your targets more carefully. Don't speak until their motives are clear. If these were any more experienced Hunters, they would have killed you all too easily. What I'm trying to say is, learn more, act less until you know what you need to. Your gut will tell you the rest." he said with a calm tone. Markus was a loner, that much was true, but he wasn't any less of a tutor, and when he saw moments of being able to teach someone, he took it. If he could help someone, he would. He was a loner, not heartless, and that's what made him misunderstood amongst most of the people in this town.

As they continued talking, a small house in the distance appeared, seeing as he left some of the lights still on, having forgotten them. He turned his head to look at Evelyn, a small shadow of what could be considered a smile spread across his face as he turned back to look at his humble home. "Indeed it is. It's small, but I don't need much room as it's just me, usually. It's the best way to stay out of the eye of people, and to myself. I prefer being alone usually." he said with a remotely cold tone. He walked up to the door, unlocked it with one hand he kicked the door with his boot lightly so they could enter. He tossed his keys on the floor and nodded to Evelyn. "Make yourself at home. I'll take care of this guy first, and then I'll take a look at the wound you got there." he said with a bit of sympathy and worry in his voice. He closed the door and locked it behind them, picking up the still unconscious man, tossing him onto his shoulder he unlocked one of the other doors and walked down into the darkly lit basement, being able to see perfectly fine due to the wolf in him.

A few minutes later Markus emerged from the basement, the man was shackled by several cuffs and impossibly breakable chains that kept him to the wall. There was no way he was getting out, due to one way out as there were no windows, and the door was bolted and locked. It was where Markus would retreat to if he didn't turn outdoors, so he wasn't going anywhere without them knowing. He finally found Evelyn in one of the rooms and looked at her with a raised eyebrow, "Ready?" he asked, both of his arms folded neatly behind his back.

The sun was high in the sky as Violet made her way out of her grandmother's house as she had been living there for the past few years, or what one would call living, seeing as she was a Ghost in past recent years. Violet usually kept to herself, residing in the small colonial house with her aging grandmother who had all since her own passing, forgot about her granddaughter and has remained oblivious to Violet's presence. Only ever getting a slight chill or feeling as though someone was in the house with her. Much to Violet's dismay, her grandmother's ever-declining health had been weighing on her mind lately, and not being able to communicate with her much anymore had often been a result in her worsening depression. But she wasn't going to let that bring her down, especially not today as it was the grand opening of that new caffe in the town. She heard whispers about it, and she was excited, even if she wasn't able to partake in the food part, she was going to show her support to the owner, Phoenix. They had been good enough friends, even with Violet being a ghost.

He was always nice to her, as well as were some of the other patrons in the town, even those were few and far between. Thankfully the house wasn't too far from where she was going, and soon enough she made it, seeing one of the locals leaving the establishment, Jaiden Price was her name, if Violet could remember correctly. Jaiden was nice to her the few times they talked, but it never lasted very long due to them both being introverts and socially awkwardness. Violet smiled as she walked through the door, rather literally and saw a thinning group of people at the front counter. And there Phoenix was, as well as a new person. He was tall, like very tall, had bright eyes, and pale blonde hair and skin, something about him unnerved Violet, but she didn't know what it was. Just, something about his presence, the very feeling he radiated scared her a bit. She shook her head and looked at the man she was there for, "Hey, Phoenix! How's it going? Good I hope! I'm glad this place turned out as well as it did!" she said with a large and toothy smile, not having realized she had rather literally walked right through the stranger, stepping to the side she gave him a blushed grin. "M-my bad. I don't always realize it, I'm sorry..." she said with an awkward chuckle as she rubbed the back of her neck.
