Time had passed by slowly as the next few days came and gone. Jaiden visited the cafe almost every day as she needed her coffee fix, never letting it go with how Phoenix always looked at the man that came in for his jam and sweets. His name was Cas Davis, and something was odd about him, she couldn't place her finger on it, but something just didn't sit right with her about him. But her real priority was somewhere else, the next few days would be bringing Halloween, and the town's local fest, the Fall Festival. It was one of the few things that she honestly looked forwards to, and she already had her mind on ideas for outfits. She had finished her's off all too soon as she had the concept in mind for a while, and was busy at work making what she would end up dressing with. On the other hand, the hard part was the mask. Every year people would dress up and wear masks, and every year she would have something different, this time she decided to opt for a small and rather basic, leather mask that was dyed a crimson color with some small details on it, nothing over the top, but was fancy enough for what she was trying to achieve.

There were a few people she had in mind that she remembered that they requested that if she had the time, she could make some masks for them as well, and she happily obliged. Then she remembered two other people specifically that would need masks, one would be more ornate and fancy than her own, and the other would be more on the basic side of things, as she knew the latter person wasn't much for dressing up, unless it was the Festival. Then he went about as out and extravagant as he could. Over the last few days she had finished their masks and personally delivered them herself. Their reactions were as she expected, one was excited and happy with how it turned out, the other simply thanked her.

But the day finally came, The Fall Festival was here and Jaiden couldn't be any happier. She had gotten some of her chores done for that day and was getting things ready for the evening, getting into her costume and grabbing her mask, she'd it on when she got closer to the downtown side of where the festival was always held. Finally, she made it and found herself smiling, so many people. Humans and supernatural alike, they were all dressed up and communing with one another. She smiled and put on her mask before she decided to join in on the fun, she grabbed some coffee and snacks from one of the stands and began to walk around and look at the other's costumes and see if she could spot any familiar or unfamiliar faces. Her mind was on the thought of Hunters, and if they were here, it would be almost imossible to find them out in this large of a masked crowd.

The next few days had passed by slowly for Markus just as he had expected. He and Evelyn interrogated the Hunter, and what they got was surprising to him. He knew they were of the Branded kind, that much he knew, but the fact that specifically those kind of Hunters coming here brought a tang of anxiety and fear in him. The thought of Brandeds coming to Greythorne didn't sit well with him. As the days past, he kept the Hunter in his cellar, only ever letting him out to use the bathroom and back to the cellar he'd go. Always remaining handcuffed and locked up, he couldn't risk him getting out until he knew what he was going to do with him.

The days continued passing by, and Markus had remembered that the Fall Festival was around the corner, he'd need a costume and mask, even though he wasn't a fan of masks, he knew one person that hand made them with care, he had asked one of the few artists and designers in the town if she could make a mask for him, and she was all too happy to help. Markus didn't know her well, but from what he knew, she was a decent person, rather kind, skittish and introverted, but nonetheless kind to him. He knew what she was, specifically her being a witch, but he didn't care. He had no right to judge anyone, or anything, especially with his past. When the day came for his mask to be delivered he thanked Jaiden with a kind smile and a small hug, offering if she ever needed anything, he'd gladly help.

A small smile spread across his face when he opened the small box, revealing the mask that he had custom made for him specifically. It turned out far better than what he expected and was all too thankful. It was basic, but fancy enough for what he had in mind. The day finally came when the Festival would begin, he dressed into his costume and put on the mask, looking himself over in the mirror, he looked stupid, but he didn't care as much as he normally would. Everyone would look a little dopey and he was okay with that, besides, wearing a mask would help his insecurities and social anxieties a bit. Soon the time came and he found himself in the middle of the festival, walking around with a cup of fresh coffee in his hand and a small smile on his face as he looked at all the people dressed in costumes, but the thought of the Hunter in his basement was on the back of his mind, he wouldn't be able to stay too long, but long enough to have a good time.

the next few days Violet had felt absolutely awful and embarrassed. She accidentally had passed through the man more than once as the week had gone on, never realizing it until it was too late, always apologizing and feeling embarrassed about it. Half of the time she had spent in the house, watching over her grandmother, more often than not she spent time talking to her, even though it was mostly one-sided conversations. But seeing her grandmother and being able to talk was rather therapeutic for her, and she needed it. She needed a way to escape and find a way to vent, and often rambling to her grandmother helped, even if she couldn't hear or see her.

But as the days passed Violet became aware of the fact that the Fall Festival was coming up, and she'd need to do something about it. As it was Halloween, she'd be at her strongest, as in a sense, a "portal" from the other side would be opened the ghosts would be at their strongest, as well as being able to fully communicate and interact with the living, even though it was only a few hours. Violet relished Holloween for reasons like that, and she took it with glee. She was more than excited when a small box was left on the front porch of her house, it contained a small and rather beautiful mask inside, containing a letter as well. It was from one of the locals, Jaiden Price to be specific. A small smile creeped on her face.

Jaiden had always been nice to her, and no matter what, she always saw her as a friend or as much of a friend that a ghost-like her could have. The day finally came and Violet had decided on her costume, it would be basic enough, but it was all that she could really do. She'd only have a few hours until she returned to her normal state of not being able to be seen or fully interact with the living, and she was aware of that fact. The time soon came and the festival began, Violet happily and excitedly found herself in the middle of the town, amongst the people in costumes, laughing, smiling, and having a good time. This was one of the few times she could be with people and feel alive again, and she took it head on. She put on her mask and happily found herself walking around, smiling and talking with people, finding out the latest news and gossip, simply trying to be able to have that feeling of what it was like to be alive again, and this year, she was going to take it as much as she could.
