Zinnia knew that Azure was excited for Occasus to arrive, but Zinnia was not. Another strong demon would mean the end of humanity, it would mean the end of the magical world. Zinnia squeezed Azure's hand and tried to smile, "I'm sure that when Occasus returns, she'll have missed you just as much." Zinnia had not known how Occasus had died, most thought her to simply have disappeared, until her soul piece was found a millenia later. It seemed that someone had thought it a good idea to revive her. If Azure sensed her presence, then it was too late. "Azure, what do you do when she does come back?" Zinnia asked. "Will you go and train in her domain?" Would she leave Zinnia and Yue here, all alone? Zinnia wasn't thrilled with that idea, of course now she had another ally, hopefully in Doll.
Shiro was afraid, she was very afraid. She had never been a very brave puppy, but she knew when she had to stay in line and this was one of those times. As soon as Vaswald had Shiro in her grasp, she had taken her back to Hell, into her domain. Shiro quivered, Vaswald hadn't hurt her, in fact, she hadn't raised a finger. She had placed Shiro in a room full of things for the puppy demon and had left. Shiro had tried to leave, but the door was locked and the two windows did not open. "Why did it have to be Ellen?" Shiro whimpered, her contract mark burning. Ellen was still fighting it, she was in distress. As long as she had some semblence of sanity left, their contract would remain. Shiro was sitting on the bed, her tail swishing nervously. She had nibbled on the delicious breakfast someone had dropped off when she was sleeping, but after that, no one entered.
At least, until now. The door creaked open, their body looked like Ellen, but Shiro could sense it was Vaswald. "Shiro," she purred, the puppy demon stiffening. "It's alright, I won't hurt you," her hand caressed Shiro's cheek, her touch soft. Shiro's heart fluttered nervously in her chest, an automatic response. "I heard you've been a very good girl since I left you-" Shiro pushed Vaswald away and shook her head. "Don't pretend you're her! You're not Ellen!" Vaswald's eyes flickered, was that pain behind them? Shiro couldn't tell. Vaswald smiled as though it were the easiest thing in the world. "You're right, I'm not Ellen. Clever little puppy," she praised, patting Shiro's head. "Wh-what do you want with me? Why did you take me?" Shiro tried to demand, but it came out more like a whimper than anything else.
"I'm not quite sure," Vaswald admitted, taking Shiro's hands in her own. "To make you my Apostle perhaps, or maybe it's this thick headed human's heart that makes me desire you," she cupped Shiro's chin in her hand, her thumb carressing Shiro's lower lip. The puppy demon stiffened in fear and uncertainty. An Apostle? Shiro wasn't ready for that, things were moving too fast! She squealed and pushed Vaswald away, hiding underneath a pillow.
