Markus simply nodded as Lucian told him to drop the use of the word 'boss', even though he meant nothing bad by it, he understood and easily complied. He listened as Lucian explained that they'd keep to using the darkness as their go-to, mainly to keep themselves out of eyesight from others. Finally, after finishing off his own food he drank the rest of the coffee he made and put the dishes in the sink as he nodded to Lucian after saying they'd meet back up at the place that night. "Will do." he stated plainly as he cleaned up the rest of the kitchen, turning to Lucian when he said he was leaving for now and that if he ever wanted to, his bed back at his place was open to him anytime. A small smirk covered his face at the comment, "You wish, Mitchell. You wish." he said with a teasing tone and wink as the man left his apartment.
He sighed as he heard the door finally close, leaving him alone in his apartment now. The awkward silence filled the room all too quickly as the reality of him being alone for the first time in a few days settled in. Normally he was happy to be by himself, but something about it now unnerved and even caused a little bit of panic in him. Ever since the attack, he was almost in a sense, scared to be alone by himself. He quickly shook that thought out of his head and after putting everything away he decided he'd take a nap until it was time for him and Lucian to meet back up again.
Time passed by quickly for Markus, he woke up, showered and changed his clothes, making sure what he wore would help with keeping him out of the public eye, as well as keeping him out of attention's eye as well. He looked up the place Lucian wanted to meet him at, he knew where it was and it wasn't very far from where he lived. He packed up a few things and made his way out of his apartment, the light of the moon and city lights being the only real light that helped guide his way, even though he kept to the darkness as he made his way to the designated spot. After scouting the place out, making sure no one was around, watching them or anything that could be tripped as an alarm he put down his supplies in a small little alcove in one of the corners, keeping to the rafters of the place as he waited for Lucian to arrive, whether or not he'd wait and see. If this was an elaborate scheme of Lucian's to get him somewhere alone to be killed or captured, he'd give him credit. But for now, he sat out of eyesight and kept to the shadows until he was sure it was safe for him to come out.
