Maddy was taken aback for a minute or two as Jordan pulled out a small box and put it on the table in front of her. She gasped with delight as Jordan opened the box. "Jordan, I love it! Thank you so much!" She gushed. "And don't worry, Jordan. I could never forget about you. And, like I said, if Sheriff Emma Pines has anything to do with it, I'll be home every few weeks," she joked. They paid up and left the diner, waving a little at Gwen as they left.
She waited for Jordan to put the lemonade in the back of her truck, shivering a little in the cool air. God, tights had seemed like a good idea at the time, and she was severely regretting it now. She swore that it had somehow gotten colder since she'd left the house. So when Jordan asked her what she wanted to do, there was only one answer she had.
"Well, frankly, I would love to go for a walk in the woods, but frankly I made some terrible decisions when I was getting dressed this morning and I think I should probably change before we do that," she admitted. "And if you ever mention this to my mom I swear to god, I will never live that down, so do me a favour," she added, laughing a little as she did so. "So back to the Pines residence followed by a stroll in the woods?" She suggested.
