Taylor was one of the last few ones to enter the courthouse, soon followed by the rest of the people she tended to hang out with, which happened to be some of the less desirable people in Oakville. She knew that they were a tough group of people for anyone to really like, and she knew it probably gave her a bad reputation, especially with only having been in the town for as short of a time as she had, but they were people like her, outcasts and the less desirable. They somewhat made her feel like she belonged, and even safe in a bit, even if some, like the Jackson brothers, made even her own blood boil at times due to their cruelty or plain dumbassery. But for the most part, they looked out for each other, and she preferred to stay with them even if she didn't agree with their morals, or lack, therefore, as yes, even someone as rebellious and spiteful towards her family had a conscience, and lately, it had been a small voice in the back of her head that she pretended didn't exist. Their-her parents were finally gone and she had the full allowance to do whatever it was that she desired, and she took it into full effect and took it with glee. But unlike the others in their group, she kept it to a controlled level, simply having taken a few supplies and things she'd need, refusing to have taken part in some of the break-ins and anarchy that had already taken place. Taylor knew that it would be hard for people to believe she had nothing to do with it, and it bothered her slightly, but she knew the truth and that was all that mattered.

Taylor found herself with the others in the back end of the court-house, some of them sat in the last few spots in the remaining rows, and some of the others like her preferred to remain standing in the back against the wall. The others considered this pointless and stupid, some had even decided to not even go, but Taylor knew she should as a way of supporting the people that needed it, especially Diana Lindbergh. Sure, they weren't exactly the best of friends or all that close, but she respected the girl for deciding to be the one that took on the mantle, and it wasn't too surprising to Taylor seeing as she was the mayor's daughter, it'd only make sense if she was being honest. She knew that Diana being in charge would be to the annoyance and distaste to some of the others, but it didn't bother Taylor. She'd prefer it was someone that knew what they were doing, even if it was only partial, and not someone that had no idea what they were doing, that would only put them in the dirt or bring utter chaos to the town. She was lost in thought about half-way through Diana's speech as her memories went back to the day where everything changed at the mention of it. Taylor had decided to go on the field trip, well, more so she was forced to by her mother as it'd be extra credit and heaven forbid if Taylor didn't pass a few more classes. Sure, she wasn't the smartest person in the school, but she was also not an idiot. She had enough brains and intelligence where it mattered, and even more in the classes that she really cared about, but it wouldn't matter much now seeing how things had gone to shit. All that she really remembered was getting up early for the field trip and getting on the bus, and zoning out on the ride there as she simply just put her earbuds in and listened to her music, drifting off into another world until they came back to Oakville. Things had seemed quiet, a little more than usual, but it wasn't out of the ordinary. It was late and as everyone expected their parents were probably already asleep and in bed, so they all returned to their homes and went to sleep like it was any other day, and to their knowledge it was.

At least, that was until the day after. Taylor woke up to dozens of missed calls and texts from friends and even some random numbers that she didn't recognize but figured they were other students that got her number from someone they knew mutually. At first, she thought it was some prank, as it'd be easy to prank one of the newer students, as well as someone that wasn't exactly very popular or well-liked as she remained in the background as well as she could. Even though she was simply known as that loud girl in bad to most people, or the new girl on the swim team. And Taylor didn't mind it honestly, for all she knew once she graduated she'd be gone from this damn town and her family and be somewhere off where she could finally be herself, but it all came crashing down when reality hit her like a brick wall. Their parents were gone, as well as all the other students. Seemingly, the only other people that were there were the students that went on the bus, everyone else was simply gone as if they never existed in the first place. For most, it caused for alarm and worry, but for the few that Taylor ran with as well as herself, it was a small sign of freedom and excitement. No parents meant no rules, and no rules meant she finally could do whatever she wanted, and for the most part she did. The group of friends she ran with held constant parties for the first few days until it grew to be a bore, and then came to the ransacking of stores, and break-ins to the houses. Unlike most, Taylor kept to herself when it came to that, simply deciding to stay in her own house, except for maybe taking a few things and some extra food and supplies, but nothing that no one would really notice off the bat.

And now, now is where they were. In the courthouse deciding on what to do. Taylor didn't care much what happened, as long as she was left alone and no one tried messing with her or those she was fond of she didn't really care. She was fine with the shenanigans she took part in for a bit coming to an end, it was getting a bit too intense for her liking. She liked crazy, but not anarchy and chaos. Even someone like her had respect for people and liked the order, but a little crazy was okay with her. She wasn't surprised by the announcements of Aaron having the church open or some of the other well-known faces in town taking up other important roles. It'd make sense, have people know what they're doing have some role in all of this madness. Some students gave their opinions and rather rude remarks, something that was to be expected, Taylor just sighed and shook her head, why couldn't people just understand some order needed to be brought among the chaos. "I think it's a great idea, honestly." she spoke up, finally breaking the awkwardness that she felt, as well as not usually being one for crowds. "Uhm, me and Andy have also decided to open up the music hall again, if anyone has any interest, just let either of us know. Anything from teaching to playing, to simply trying to lighten a mood with music is available. Just let us know if you have any input, we'd uh...We'd like to know. Thanks." she said with a sheepish grin as she combed her hand through her hair, taking a deep breath as she went back to leaning up against the wall. Taylor knew people would probably laugh or think it'd be a stupid idea of having classes or music hall, but since music was something Taylor often found peace in, her and Andy thought it'd be a great idea. But if anyone would take it seriously, that's all that mattered. Taylor had a few other ideas but, for now she'd keep it to herself. She was thinking of making a self-defense class as she was trained by her father, but, if that became a thing only god knows what people would do with it, but with people like the Jackson brothers, maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to bring to the table with Diana and the others, Taylor thought to herself.
