Dinner was delicious, but it was also exhausting. More than a few times Flo found herself passing out while chewing. Christopher tactfully didn't mention it even as Sana tried to rouse Flo awake. "You can't sleep now, silly." Sana said, smiling but it was obvious she was anxious. "Or you won't be able to sleep tonight." Flo opened her eyes, trying to shake the fogginess out of her head. "Sorry." She murmured, looking at Echo to try and see if she had been eating or not. "I'm trying... to not..." Training with Silence and Pray took more out of her than she wanted to admit. If you equated the amount of energy you had to the amount of spoons you could hold, Flo had spent all of her spoons already.

"Oh, um, we have some good news though." Sana said with a bright smile Chris and Echo's way. "Since tomorrow's the weekend, Malmortis told us he'll be ready to check things out. We can finally take the next step." Flo was alive, but they didn't fully save her yet. Sana was blabbering, seemingly excited. What happened to the meek little shy girl she used to be? "Alex Drake said that it's good to have a variety of soul pieces to take shards from to minimize the chances of a personality takeover." The smaller the piece they took, the less chance there would be of an adverse reaction. "I still want... this added." Flo gestured with a floppy hand at her necklace, glistening a deep lavender. Was she being sentimental about it? Was it silly to want her friend's soul piece's shard inside her own? "We don't even know yet if you two are compatible." Sana seemed exasperated. "And Alex says a piece that big might be dangerous to use to fill the gaps."

Before Sana finished speaking Flo's head lolled over, she had passed out again. "Sorry, she's not the best at conversation anymore." The blonde chuckled, stirring her uneaten soup. Sana was losing weight, her soup was untouched, she had been skipping meals out of anxiety. "Are you afraid that she won't need you again after she's all healthy?" Christopher suddenly asked, his clear voice cutting through her own mental worries as she absentmindedly stirred the soup. "Not really?" Sana chuckled, blushing pink in her cheeks. "You've gotten used to being her caretaker, and now a part of you doesn't want to lose that connection. Don't be ashamed, it's perfectly normal."

"Our special contract will break once she's better." Sana glanced at her bracelet, the last keepsake left of her sister. "Then I'm sure Cress will try to pair her with someone stronger... someone that can bring out her fullest potential." Sana may have improved but she wasn't on the same level as elites like Chris, like Silence. She was relatively average as an Agent, she didn't have the raw talent for combat the way Amelia did. Amelia was a genius at many things, but Sana was simply another underperformer. Wasn't it a waste to pair her with a Baroness?
