|| The Death of a Bachelor || Panic! At the Disco ||
"Focus on yourself," Christopher replied, taking a seat across from Sana. Flo had just woken up, there was plenty of time for her to help and fix Echo, but for now, she needed to focus on herself and getting better. After all, Flo was the first demon to have ever received a treatment like this. It was revolutionary, but terribly dangerous all the same. After all, with all of the fragments they had collected, there was no telling if any of the other personalities would begin to rub off and show their traits. Hopefully, this would fix Flo's problem of constantly shifting through human and demon and allow her to remain a demon. "You need to get better, we need you and Sana on the mission in four days." It loomed ever closer, the possibility of retrieving his wife and the Director nerve wracking.

Doll sat on the sill, watching the snowfall. For the most part, the other demons steered clear of her, knowing what she could do and who her parents were. The only time they knocked on her door was when they wanted to challenge her. Ever since Messiah had lost Zinnia, one of his precious pawns, he had seemed to lose interest in Doll as well. He made her stay in her room, out of sight, unless he needed to interogate her on aspects of the Tower Society. They were preparing a raid and Doll had been trying to get a message to Christopher, but her holo didn't work in these parts and it was slowly losing its charge. She kept it off, checking it once a day for a message, but alas, none ever came. What was her husband doing? Was he worried about her? Did he even care about her anymore?
In her frustration, she threw a vase at the wall, sinking down, wishing she were anywhere but here. The door suddenly opened, someone entering, huffing and puffing, their clothes torn, blue hair askew. "Ariel?" Doll asked, swallowing hard. She rose, not believing what was in front of her. "D-Doll?" Ariel asked, surprised, injured, she was bleeding badly from a wound in her side. Doll rushed forward, pressing a kerchief into the blood to stem the flow. Ariel winced, clearly in pain. "What are you doing here?" Doll asked quietly, her eyes searching to make sure this was not some sort of trick. "I-" Ariel winced, her ribs crackling. "I was taken captive by Baroness Anguis. She uses her snakes to torture me and Messiah always puts me back together, but today she left and I managed to run away."
Doll froze, "Ariel, her snakes are poisonous." The poison they secreated was highly toxic. "I-I know," Ariel whimpered. "But I would rather die then go back there." Her lower lip was trembling, how long had she been here? In Anguis's clutches? "Ariel, if we don't get you back there, you won't receive the antivenom. Think of Lana, think of everyone back at the Tower Society, waiting for you." Ariel's palor was beginning to grow white, she was sweating profously, a sign that the toxins were well within her veins now. "Please Ariel," Doll implored, "just hang on a little longer. I'll get you home, alright?" Ariel closed her eyes, biting down on her lower lip to keep from crying out in pain. "F-fine," she whimpered at last, it was clear she had been strong for a very long time.
Doll lifted Ariel up easily, carrying her back to Anguis's room. "I'm sorry, I wish there was more that I could do," Doll whispered as she returned Ariel to the snakes that waited to retrieve her. Ariel stiffened in fear, Doll turning away, unable to stomach the sight. Ariel began to scream, writhing, Doll closed the door quickly behind her, choking back tears.
