When all was said and done, she'd wiggle into something lacy and thin. One could barely call it sleepwear, really. Since he was staying the night, she attempted to put aside her nightly rituals. It was hard. Rae wanted to just lay down, read a book, put up some decor that she's been leaving for another day. Instead, she made herself do the important things - check the windows, close the curtains. The redhead wandered through the quaint cabin to ensure that all was secure - and yes, she totally locked Pete in. It wasn't her fault, really. She had a few phobias, and one of them was a lack of security in an unfamiliar place. She hated falling sleep in a place she didn't know. It was unnerving - utterly.
To say that she dragged Pete to the cabin just for sex wouldn't be entirely false, but a bit unfair. Then again, no one actually knew her and she wouldn't admit to being a total nutcase. His thoughts on why he was here didn't bother her, and the opinions of other people certainly had no effect. The carnal delight was a surface necessity that masked a not-so-obvious desire to have someone with her in a new place. Typically, that would be a task that falls onto Cherise, but Hera's son would suffice. The shower fun was just an advantage of the company.
He wasn't a six-foot five stud, but he was cute in that way that carried an air of mystery in all of his aloofness. He wasn't going to give her many issues, and thus far, appeared to have no shame in leaving with her. He also didn't seem to mind that she was a tad domineering and a little obsessive.
Rae didn't speak to him at all whilst prepping to sleep. He didn't talk much and she didn't want to bother him with her overly verbal nature when he only returned a word or two. Whatever he had occupied himself with in the meantime, she didn't care. There wasn't much to do anyway.
Eventually, she was standing at the edge of the bed as if something had been missed entirely. Large eyes peer down at him and her lips sort of purse in thought. She chewed anxiously on the bottom of her lip and finally spoke, "Wake me up if you leave while I am sleeping. Won't you? I just -" she paused at that and tilted her head. "I'm not going to stop you, of course. I just... need to know." She made an attempt at a small smile, but she knew how she sounded - like a really weird chick. What could she say? Major control issues.
That said, she crawled herself into bed and slipped under the covers. Rae waited until he was comfortable, or least looked it, and unabashedly sought him out for some pretty intensive cuddling. If he thought he was going to slip away easily, then he might have a hard time. The physical contact is an extra layer of security. Not that she knew Pete from anyone else in camp. Maybe it was something in the realm of if someone came in while she was sleeping, he'd theoretically defend her.
Theoretically. Hell, she would also totally sacrifice him to save herself.
Regardless, she liked it and she generally did what she wanted. Pete was free to never come back to her cabin again if the cuddling was unbearable. Not that cuddling could ever actually be bad.
