|| Fight Song|| Rachel Platten ||
Ophie and Ayna returned at last, both seeming out of breath. A Baroness was coming for a visit? "I should take my leave then." She gestured to her knights, who sighed and their cards in. "Thank you for your hospitality, Baron Pierce." Monaka said, Baron Pierce taking her hand and kissing the back of her palm. Alice looked at the gesture, curious as to what it meant. She looked back at the others, wondering if they were a relieved as she was that Monaka was leaving at last. "Alice, come say goodbye." Baron Pierce instructed. She slid off of the couch, knowing that she couldn't escape this. Alice followed them to the door, sucking on the candy that Ophie had given her. "Echo!" Cal called, now that they were down three people for poker. "Come play with us!"
"Goodbye Alice," Monaka knelt down, "I know you are happiest here and I want you to stay where you feel safest." She placed her hand on Alice's shoulder and drew her into a hug. "You are always welcome to come home." This was Alice's home though. "Bye," Alice hesitated, then hugged her back. Monaka broke the hug after a minute, rising to her feet. "Come, let us return to the woods." Their wings glistened in the light of the evening sky, they flew so high that they seemed to simply disappear. "Bye, bye." Baron Pierce closed the door behidn him. Alice went back to the parlor, where they were playing cards. Echo had come to join them, wearing what looked to be a cozy outfit.
Alice crawled onto the couch, sitting on Echo's lap this time. "Oh ho ho? What's this?" Cal laughed, "Echo actually letting someone touch her?" Echo stuck her tongue out at him. "It's not someone, it's Alice and she's tiny, so I don't care." Perhaps she was simply starved for human touch after being isolated for so long? The door opened without so much as a knock, in came a herd of animals, led by their patron, Baroness Occasus. "Oh, it's you." Baron Pierce rose, placing his cards down. "I was expecting a visit," Alice slid off of Echo's lap, her eyes wide. Baron Pierce was patient as Occasus made demands of him, he had not known of an animal fighting ring and intended to shut that down immediately.
Alice, in the meanwhile, looked over at Ophie. "Do you know someone named Celeste?" She asked softly, recalling that Baron Pierce had said that Ophie would be interested in this information. "She was on a beach today, on earth. I saw her." Alice went to try and pet the cow, wanting to see if it would let her sit on it. She took Dog and Pog with her, shyly holding out her hand. The cow mooed, its tail swishing. Alice took that as a friendly sign. She reached up, but the cow moved away, settling on the carpet. She followed it, "What is this?" She knew dog and cat now too, but she had never seen something quite like this.
