|| Fight Song|| Rachel Platten ||
"You must be Celeste," Baron Pierce stood in the entryway to the Parlor. Sonata and Cal were right behind him, frozen. Rene had screamed, alerting everyone to Celeste's presence. "Yes, that's me." She smiled angelically. If one were to look up the word angel in the dictionary, they would find a picture of Celeste. She was the essence of the word, radiating purity like the sun. "How did you get here?" Alice asked, swinging her legs. Rene recovered from her shock, retrieving snacks for everyone. "I flew," Celeste replied, reaching for a cookie. Alice reached for one as well, but Baron Pierce gently guided her hand to the healthier snacks. She retreated, deciding she would rather have no snacks than a healthy one. "Did you know Ophie would be here?" Celeste shook her head. "No, but a Baroness picked me up and I fell asleep in the garden, then when I woke up, I could sense Ophie's aura."
She took Alice's hands in her own. Celeste was bigger than her, but not by much. "Baron Pierce I'm incli-" Echo froze in the doorway. A book fell from her hands, yawning closed as she stiffened. "Echo!" Celeste rose, running to give her a hug. "Look at you! You're bigger than me now!" She giggled, spinning Echo in a circle. "Wh-what are you doing here?!" Celeste tilted her head to the side. "I'm looking for my knights, they left and I don't know why." She shook her head, dragging Echo into the parlor, where everyone had gathered. "Wait, you know her?!" Cal asked, incredulous, tail swishing rapidly. Echo's own tail had curled around her leg, her cheeks bright pink. "I saved Echo!" Celeste said happily, Echo neither confirming nor refuting the claim. It was true enough, had Celeste not intervened and incidentally kidnapped Echo from earth, she probably would have died.
Alice crawled onto Echo's lap, Echo tolerating the fae, perhaps even not hating her as much as she did everyone else. "Have a biscuit," Celeste handed cookies to both Echo and Alice, Alice happily munching on one, not minding that Baron Pierce had told her no only two minutes before. "It seems we have quite the reunion on our hands," he was smiling, his demeanor as calm as ever. Should anyone ever find out that Celeste were here, it would spell death for them all. The angels and demons, while not at war, were not exactly in a time of peace either. Baron King Messiah had declared angels enemies of earth, wishing to give the humans power once more. Therefore, they were to be killed on sight. Celeste was lucky she had ended up in Amiens, of all places.
The door burst open, two angels rushing inside to greet their charge. Celeste rose abruptly when she saw them, her feathers ruffling. Alice had never seen something like this before and she reached out to touch them, Echo grabbing her wrist to stop her. "Ophelia! Laertes!" They were both kneeling, Celeste dropping her glass and hugging them each around the neck. "Why did you leave me?" She asked, tears welling up in her eyes now that she was reunited with her knights. Alice watched, curious. She still struggled with outward inflections and watched others to observe how they reacted in situations. "I found her Ophie!" Alice declared, having been the one to drag the sleeping cat on the windowsill inside.
