Nio released Cress from the dungeon when it was confirmed the Queen had left. She pulled thw ig off of her head, glad that the ordeal was over and trudged upstairs, shedding the dress so that she was only wearing the under gown. Nio had laid out clothes on the bed, acting more like a hand-maid than a little noble. It was strange, Cress had to admit, but perhaps Nio was bored and wanted things to do? She found it strange the child did not utter a word either, not making so much as a peep. The clothing she provided was another dress, this one much less formal than the first, but still just as confusing. Cress attempted to don it, Nio opening up the door to assist her. "Thanks," Cress breathed a sigh of relief and slumped on the bed. "Are you... mute?" Cress asked softly, she had always been soft on children and animals.

Nio nodded her head, taking out a notebook and pencil. Itward will be back soon, he says to stay in here until he returns. She scuttled out after, leaving Cress to her own devices. She sat on the bed, growing bored quickly, there was technology all around her, but Cress had no idea how to use it. She slid her finger along the wall, finding a crevice that popped open. "What's this?" A screen projected onto the wall beside her, she turned, finding herself in the middle of a hologram. "Cool," she sat down on one of the plush couches, but found herself bored within a few minutes. Cress had never been the tech savvy type, that was always Ellie. Whenever something broke, or the radio stopped picking up a signal, Ellie would fix it.

Cress was more... the outlandish one. The one that would walk barefoot when it started to rain because she liked the feel of it. The one that would sit in the garden to coax dying plants to thrive. This was a world that truly suited her sister, but she needed to know the truth of it. She had never felt as though she had belonged on earth, but on this strange planet, Cress felt as though she did not belong either. What would she do if she truly was a Princess? Would she stay here? No, Ellie wanted to send her home. She insisted this planet was dangerous and from what Cress had seen, they were on the brink of an all-out war. Was there a way home? She swallowed hard, there had to be.

"They got me to earth, gosh darnit, they can get me back there!" She hoped so, at least. Cress didn't want to be stuck here, in this strange place, with these strange people. What if she never saw her Mom again? How come her Mom had never told her that she wasn't related to them? She thought back to those times where people would tease her for her red eyes, unnatural, she had never seen anyone else with red eyes, except albino animals. She was called demon, as a kid, by the parents of the others in her class. The religious ones would make her wear necklaces with crosses when she went over to their homes. Maybe Cress just... didn't belong anywhere?
