Jessie felt the deep-seated worry for his brother fill his mind as he tried to pull air into his burning lungs. The sharp katana in Nana's hands that was scarily pointed towards Judah made him try and sputter out a defence but he didn't have to. "Put that away." Relief filled his mind as he gave Ivan a very grateful look. He didn't have to convince one of their team not to turn on his brother at least. As he was assisted to his feet he took note of his body. The dizziness had all but faded into mild nausea and the headache was bearable. Judah hadn't taken much from him he summarised as he wiped the blood from his mouth.
He was almost so lost in his thoughts that he almost didn't notice Nana's mumbled words. "Why do you let him do this to you?" His first reaction was anger that all but escaped his mouth as he flinched away from her the rage evident in his eyes before he pushed himself to calm. He had to see it from her point of view and glancing around at the devastation his brother had caused he understood the fear and anger she must be feeling. His gaze softened and he looked over at his scared brother. "Because he's just as scared as you are. Not all of us can control our mutations. Myself included. I've seen humans treat him, me and others as monsters I'm not going to add to it. Besides, it's those bastards and keeping us inside that caused this. You try and imagine 3,000 people screaming at you all at once and tell me how'd you feel."
He pulled away from her and went over to his still muttering brother and pulled him into a hug knowing the power lash out was over. "No one's punishing you, Judah. Now give the energy back we need to go." It took a few minutes before Judah's ramblings stopped and he got to his feet. He lifted a hand and visible to all three of them, thousands of tiny strings wrapped around his hand leading to the living things in the area. Including the four of them. The strings glowed and energy raced back into Ivan and Jessie's bodies leaving them feeling like they could run a marathon and the grass at his feet turned a healthy green. Flowers bloomed around Judah's feet and except for a dead animal or two the wildlife was healthier than it was before they arrived. Judah dropped his hand and the strings disappeared from visible view but judging by Judah's gaze they hadn't haded from his.
Judah turned back to the others and slowly with his head still hung let out a small whisper. "I'm sorry. I believe we should continue with the mission. I would still be happy to explain your gift wolf but I understand if you both fear me." Jessie snorted and moved over to Judah putting his arm around his shoulder. "Don't bore them with that mumbo talk. Sides we need to understand how to work as a team. Explain powers and all that stuff." He started to walk with Judah glancing back at the other two with a grin. "We need a team name."
