Darkness hides behind the sun
Sadness comes like the wind
My smile hides the pain
My reality is that of nightmares
I dream a better dream
And I wake up in tears
All of the food was being passed around, making sure that everyone got an equal share of the food. Prior to eating his own food, he spent the extra time cutting up Hailey’s waffles so that she could actually eat them. He peeked across the table to make sure River had at least taken something. If his plate was empty, Theo would have personally put the food on his plate. Luckily he did not have to embarrass the male that way. He piled up the food onto his own plate and started eating. ”Theo I should be back from work by 4pm. So I can just meet you guys at the soccer game and take the girls home while you go to work.” Tessa stated, commencing business as usual. He nodded. ”That’s fine. Izzy your soccer game is at 3 so make sure you are actually ready by then.” He said with a small smile tugging on his lips.
”And I have ballet!” Hailey chimed in with a mouth full of food. Theo laughed a bit and nodded. ”I didn’t forget ballet. Did we wash her dance outfit?”He asked Tessa. Tessa nodded and took a sip of her drink. ”And it’s hanging in the back of her closet.” She added. Theo nodded in understanding. He glanced to River, hoping that he wasn’t entirely bothered that they were discussing their lives. It was what they did every weekend to make sure that everyone was on the same page about the schedule. A hush came over the room again and everyone continued to eat.
”Why is there a stranger at the table?” Izzy stated quite loudly and not exactly the nicest. ”Isadora! That’s rude.” Tessa quickly piped up. Theodore knew it wasn’t going to be long before his little sister showed her true colors. He thought the warning Tessa provided was enough to keep her quiet, but that was not the case. ”Not a stranger. Teddy’s friend!” Hailey exclaimed with a giggle. Theodore handed her a napkin, but she only wiped half of her face and not very well. ”But I have never heard-” Tessa stood up. ”Okay! Lets go Izzy you have to help with dishes now.” Izzy groaned, but stood up as well to help clear the table. Theodore helped Hailey out of the chair and she skipped off to the bathroom to get cleaned.
Theo looked across the table to look at River, a smile formed on his face. ”Um sorry about Izzy. She means well.” Most of the time, which was good enough for her. ”I hope you enjoyed breakfast. Also I can help you get home now that it's over.” He wasn’t excited about River leaving, but he didn’t want the male to feel as though he was being held hostage.
