"You ready, Ry?" a voice came from behind the other side of the door of Riley's room. Silence filled the room for a few moments until the door opened to reveal the face of Riley, who had a rather unamused and annoyed look on her face. "Does it look like I'm ready for this?" she questioned as she was still in her normal clothing, which was black sweatpants, a plain graphic t-shirt, and a baggy zip-up hoodie. One of her classmates was throwing another big party, and most of the school was going, but it was something Riley hadn't been anticipating or really wanting to attend. Especially with her being an introvert on top of not wanting to go out and be by herself surrounded by people that properly knew each other and were friends or were in relationships. She'd feel out of place and wouldn't want to be around people like that longer than she'd really have to.

"Why aren't you ready yet? You have to be there in ten minutes!" her older sister exclaimed as she walked over to the closet and looked through the clothes, trying to find something last minute that she could wear. "Ready for what? A high school party full of horny teens that will be getting drunk and more than likely hooking up after or even at the party? I'd rather not be the only one standing out and feeling awkward the whole time, El. Besides, I don't think mixing me in with hormones and alcohol is a good idea." she retorted as she sat on the bed, looking at her sister who was still looking through the closet for something, anything at this point. "I got it!" Ellen exclaimed as she pulled out a flannel, and pants from the closet, holding them up to her. "You really want me to go dressed like that?" Riley questioned, as Ellen had been recently trying to get her to wear dresses or something more feminine for the past three weeks for this. Something that Riley had been entirely against up until this point.

Ellen turned back and looked at her after setting the clothes on the bed, arms crossed as she looked at Riley, "Well if you didn't delay this for so long as well as put down every other outfit I suggested, you would have had something much nicer than this. But it'll have to do. Hurry up and get dressed and ready, you have like five minutes now or you'll be late. Well, later than you already are." Ellen insisted as she pushed the clothing into Riley's arms and pushed her into the bathroom to change and get ready. A few short minutes later, Riley exited the bathroom, dressed in the outfit Ellen picked out, with a rather neutral expression, "Do I really have to go to this thing? No one would even notice I wasn't there, nor would anyone be saddened by it, El. I'm not exactly Miss Popular." she insisted, simply trying to weasel her way out of going. It was true though, she didn't really have many friends, if any really, and she didn't think they'd even notice if she didn't show up to it, as she was rather new in comparison and a loner for the most part.

Riley had attended a few festivities that the school put on since she first attended the school the year prior, as well as a few house parties, but she hadn't really had any fun or even felt like she belonged there. Things just, never felt right since two years ago. Ellen simply nodded and gave her a kiss on the forehead and a gentle hug, "You'll have fun, you deserve to go out and be a normal kid.." she said softly as she stood back and looked at her sister with a small smile, Riley only sighed as she gathered her things, "Kind of hard to be normal when you're me and you can turn into a fucking monster...But I'll try to have a good time, just don't be surprised if I come back early.." she muttered as she walked passed her sister and out of her room, grabbing her keys and other things as she made her way out of the house. They lived in the northern side of town, far away from people and the more populated part of town, towards the forest and woods, as a way of keeping them out of the public eye, as well as Ellen having a good amount of money to get a nice place as they had. It was a score of a house and was easily affordable for her as she had a good job and they managed to get it for a good price. Riley had finally made it to the address she was given days prior, and by the time she checked her watch she was very late, easily about half an hour late to be exact. That's one way to make a grand entrance, being extraordinarily late, way to go, Riles, she thought to herself.

The home was a lot larger than she had expected, and to be honest, it only made things worse as she felt even more out of place than she would have felt otherwise. Riley slowly walked up to the all too large house, which had already audible music coming from inside, she knocked at first and awaited an answer. She began to place her hand on the doorknob to open it when the door flung open, almost knocking her off her feet, "Oh shit! That's my bad-Oh hey, you're the new girl, right? Riley? Or something like that?" the boy slurred, clearly far too drunk already. Riley gave him a fake smile as she dusted herself off as well as giving a small nod, "Yeah, hey Kenneth. Sorry I'm late. It uh, took me a bit longer than expected to get here." she said with a small smile. Kenneth gave her all too large of a grin as he took another sip from the red funnel cup in his hand, motioning her inside the house, placing his hand along her waist as he did so. "We're all friends here, Rile. Welcome on in. You're looking-Well, good." the smell of alcohol dripped off of him like poison, almost overbearingly so to the werecoyote.

Riley gave him a small awkward chuckle and stepped passed him, exchanging some not very interesting small talk before he buggered off and went to chat someone else up. She slowly made her way through the home, taking in everything as well as she could. Best to familiarize yourself with the area around you, even if nothing bad happened, it was best to know where everything was. Just to be on the safe side.

Riley initially planned to stay indoors for at least some time, but after being in there for several minutes, with overly loud music, too many people for her taste, and the overbearing scent of sweat and alcohol, her senses were pushed into overdrive. Her heart began racing, her mind was overcrowded with thoughts, and her anxiety began to slowly rise. Riley found herself stepping backward and into the outdoor patio, where less people were. Smaller groups tended to stay outdoors compared to inside, for some odd reason. The werecoyote found herself gripping onto one of the railings next to the small botanical garden to the side, her eyes fluctuated from her normal dark hazel to a dark yellow, and then back to her natural color as she held her head. She could feel herself slowly growing dizzy and sat down on one of the benches, holding her head as she continued to stare down at the floor. A figure slowly approached her, but Riley didn't pay her much attention, simply being asked something that she didn't quiet understand but assumed she was asked if she was okay. The girl wandered off, and shortly came back with a red plastic cup, forcing it into Riley's hands and saying she'd feel better after she drank some. Riley quirked an eyebrow for a moment, eyeing the light golden liquid in the cup. She knew full well what it was, looking back up at the girl, who only gave her a small smirk and wink, raising the plastic cup and downed her drink before turning away and left Riley to herself. "Fuck it.." she mumbled, quickly downing the alcohol in one go, the burn took over for a moment as she coughed heavily. She had never had any form of alcohol before and wasn't expecting to find god damn straight whiskey in a funnel cup, so she just silently sat there on the bench, alone to her thoughts as she tried to calm herself down, if she could.
