The dance floor was just a giant throng of hair whipping, bodies doing overtly sexual things under the guise of 'dancing', and wisps of smoke rising in the crisp night air. Everything was good and everyone was relaxed. It almost seemed that the entire school had gathered in this one spot - from the nobodies to the school VIPs. Everyone had a little school spirit. If not, then they definitely were here for the surly activities or peer pressured. The party was alive, even if some of the students were content to be by themselves. Even if some of the people here, for whatever reason, were simply drawn here by some force unknown.

Reagan was enjoying herself; or at the very least, attempting to. Though her dance moves left much to be desired, her newfound popularity seemed to overshadow it. She was just trying her best to live it up, even though her mother insisted that she stay home for the night. The Venandi household had been nothing but stressful as of late, and her mother was the absolute worst. There were always strangers coming in and out of the home, strange dealings, secrets that she supposedly wasn't ready for yet. Quite frankly, after the death of her father she hardly had any chance for fun. Fun was not in a hunter's DNA, which would explain why mother-dearest was a stick in the mud.

There was a certain point where the brunette had lost track of time, and by her bad twerking skills, also any concept of shame and dignity. Her phone was going off over and over. She'd look at it, but then then ignore it as the word "Mom" was displayed on the caller ID. After the tenth ignored call, she decided that she'd never enjoy her night until she switched the damn device off. So, she does.

Right at that moment she'd pull off one of her extremely white-girl dance moves, someone collides with her! Drops of whatever was in his cup landed on her dress, and she sort of held her hands up in the air a little horrified. That's a bit over-dramatic, really. She's just a bit surprised and guilty for being such a klutz.

"I'm so sorry, I swear that was an accident, can I go inside and get you some napkins for that?" There was that slight stretch of time at which point two people recognize one another, but this one seems particularly lengthy for some reason. "Reagan! I didn't expect to see you here. I'm really sorry about the drink, is your dress okay?" It's just Jasper. Even if it hand't been him, Reagan knows that at least ten of her peers will ultimately spill their drinks o her, so she's not going to bite his head off. She didn't know a lot about him at all, but they've never had much of a reason to interact. He's cute, though. Had she not noticed that before? Where did her thoughts go all of the sudden.

She just beamed a bright friendly smile at him, "Don't worry about it, Jasper." She swept a small hand through the air as an aloof dismissive gesture, inadvertently smacking someone nearby. They didn't notice, and she bit her bottom lip and placed a couple fingers over her mouth to stifle a slight bout of giggling laughter. "I could say the same about you. Actually, I could say the same about a lot of people. I guess this is just the place to be tonight."

Her gaze slipped past his shoulders to find that AJ had sneaked her way into the dance crowd. Without much thought, she placed a hand on one of Jasper's shoulders and rose to the tips of her toes to wave to her friend. She always thought that AJ was one of the coolest girls in school, if not, one of the most stylish. Reagan has this weird feeling about her, though, but she couldn't quite put a finger on it. They were both alike in so many ways; from loser to cool kid on the block.

Once AJ acknowledged her, she'd settle her attention back on Jasper with that same red-lipped smile, "You know AJ right? She's so great," she states with an admiring sigh before casually leading herself, and him if he chose to follow, out of the crowd. "How's your night going anyway?"

Briceson entered the party, late and poorly dressed as per usual. He's one of those guys whose catchphrase for a party is "single and ready to mingle" and still manages to leave without a girlfriend. He entered the home and was greeted by most of the Lacrosse team. Sure, he wasn't a pro, but he was a damn good team-player. Maybe they do talk about him behind his back, but to his face they were bros. He smiled, laughed, and acknowledged friends and peers with a fist pound or some other silly gesture.

There was only one woman in the entire school that slightly scared him, and that was Sherry. He knows her name, but that's just about all of what anyone knows about her. He'd hate to call her weird, but sometimes she gave him goosebumps. At the same time, she's super cute in one of those scary cute ways.

"Lookin' good, girl." He felt very awkward, like he was signing away his life at this very second. Any moment she can say or do any number of things; crush his soul with words, smack him, or just stare at him with disgust. But he persists! Goofy smile, charming eyes, and all. Who could hate this guy?

He walks backwards, having caught a few other familiar faces here and there, "Whatcha drinkin' Sherry, Sher?" He's just going to follow wherever she goes for now, just because he's likely going in the same direction.

They'd eventually slip past the alcohol table where Thomas and Hiroto ended up. He looked back at Sherry, "I bet that Tommy could mix ya somethin'." Like a dog suddenly spotting a squirrel when he was supposed to be fetching the mail, he jetted off in that direction with or without the strange girl.

Bryce ended up placing both of his arms over the shoulders of Hiroto and Tommy, "Yo, Tommy, mix me up somethin' bro. And that Sherry girl because she looks like she needs a little help enjoying the party." He bounced away from that pairing, going from one face to another like an over-energized puppy or something. "Yo, I'll be back!" He called out with his hands cupped around his mouth like a loudspeaker.

Last but not least, Riley. The loner sitting on a bench. He plopped his ass right down next to her, leaned over a bit to dig around a pocket in his shorts, and pulled out a tightly wrapped blunt. He wriggled his brows at her, "Need a pick-me-up?"

He knew that not everyone wanted to be here, but this was a small town. Sometimes there was nothing else to do other than be at the hottest spot fir the night, even if you hated it. That's small town life for teenagers. But there are always ways to make it all better.
