Lilith kept her calm exterior and put a hand on Laila's back as if to comfort her. Laila was a good actress she had to give her that. Tugging at the mother's heartstrings especially as she was obviously still emotional was a good play although manipulative, which Lilith was all for.
After a while, it seemed as though the mother had made up her mind to help the girls, suggesting a road trip of some sorts with the younger brother. Lilith smiled, "oh I mean...we really don't want to intrude or mess up his trip," she replied as if she was hesitating. "We couldn't possibly ask that much from you."
But Amanda had shaken her head firmly, "Nonsense, you both literally saved our son's life!" Robert joined in nodding in agreement, "this wouldn't even begin to pay you back for all you've done, so please, we would love to help you."
Lilith looked at Laila and smirked ever so slightly, she pulled her hand away from her small back and waited for Laila's response.
