Smell like I sound
I’m lost in the crowd,
And I’m hungry like a wolf
Straddle the line, in discord and rhyme,
I’m on the huntdown after you
Travis’ head pounded, and his mouth felt dry as he kept his eyes closed. “Ugh…” He grumbled out as his body felt tired and sore, but thirsty, for something. He heard voices around him and a tug on his arm as he laid down, but the voice sounded muffled and unintelligible, as well as adding to his headache. He slowly pulled himself, reaching around for something as he peaked out of his eyes, everything seeming brighter for a second, but also darker and blurry at the same time. “Where am I?” Trav asked, rubbing his eyes a bit before fully opening them. He looked forward and saw a sort of figure ahead of him kneeling on the ground. A sort of power overtook him, some sort of rage, trying to control him. The figure ahead of him looked like it began to speak, but whatever it was saying didn’t make any sense to him.
Another figure walked into view, this one spoke and Travis could understand a little bit better but still distorted. Saying something about if he was okay and something about a deer, a female voice. But Travis' attention only fixated on the first figure in front of him, the urge in his body spoke louder, telling him to attack, to bite. A smirk came across Travis’ mouth and sharp teeth poked out, he lunged forward towards the first being. But he was quickly tackled and pinned to the ground by the other figure in the room, the one with the female voice. A hit stung his face as he was on the ground, he replied to the hit with a sort of a hiss. “Feed! On the deer” She screamed at him, forcefully turning his head to what he assumed was the deer she spoke of.
The female got off of him and shoved him towards the animal, and Travis quickly obliged, digging his mouth deep into the animal and beginning to feast, not caring about being neat. It didn’t take him long to enjoy the warmth of the blood into his system, but enjoyed a little bit more than needed, but he was hungry, thirsty, more than he had been in his entire life, and the animal tasted amazing.
After a few moments, Travis slowly stopped and slowly blinked, his surroundings coming back into a clear view as he looked around. Back towards the two figures and realizing it was Rosie, and the vampire from before, Evelyn. He stared for a moment, confused at what happened, eyebrow raised, but then it all came to him and he realized what happened, his facial expression going from confused, to thinking as his gaze lowered to the ground. He let the vampire drink some of his blood, but passed out and now just woke up, hungry, and thirsty. He was now a vampire. And he had just tried to attack someone. Trav slowly looked up and realized that person was Rosie.
“Rosie… I’m… I’m so sorry. I didn’t know it was you. I just had an urge, something rushing through my body.” Travis spoke, looking down and seeing his now bloody hands, feeling something on his lips and licking it, tasting the blood and looking back at what he just feasted on, a deer. He slowly looked back up at the two, realizing Evelyn was the voice he could understand in his bloodlust, either because she was the one who turned him or because she was a vampire, either way he didn’t complain. “I didn’t mean to attack you...” He repeated out loud.
