She took over chopping the veg as Viv stepped away to call Ray. She knew that things count devolve into an argument pretty fast, and she resolved not to ask too many questions whenever Viv came back. She'd overheard the arguments before, even though she always tried not to. The apartment was small and it was hard not to accidentally overhear conversations, but Georgie tried to ignore it or tune it out where possible out of respect.
She nodded as Viv said she had to go in to help sort stuff out for later. She tried not to feel too disappointed that their hour together was cut short, especially given it was for their own party. "You can make it up to me with some of that whipped cream vodka," she teased. She knew that she'd be seeing Viv again later, but it was never the same when there were other people around.
Georgie finished making herself lunch and headed back into her room to finish work for the day. It took a little longer than she'd anticipated, and her laptop crashing in the middle of it didn't do much to help. By the time she finished for the evening, she was more than ready for the party and to just let loose for a few hours. She changed into something less formal and strapped on a pair of heels, heading out into the apartment to finish tidying up and making sure everything was ready.
