As Viv was closing in on Georgie, a woman she assumed to be one of Georgie's coworkers caught her attention and they started laughing and hugging each other. Viv felt a twinge of jealousy, which she pushed back completely because she had no right to be jealous of a single woman when she was the one in a relationship. She couldn't help it, the beautiful brunette was very charismatic and Georgie had many great compliments to say about her. Viv forced a brilliant smile on her face, reaching her hand out for a handshake. "It's great to meet you, Hayley. I'm glad my roommate hasn't been shit talking me at work or this party wouldn't be much fun," Viv answers with a laugh, gently nudging Georgie in the side with a cheeky grin.
Viv looked over to Ray, noticing he was getting in close in Kelsey. They'd had a few close calls about Ray being a bit too friendly with the new waitresses, and she wanted to trust him, but even in a group of their coworkers he was connecting with the pretty new waitress. Her attention was brought back to their conversation when The idea of a shot contest was brought up. She glanced over at Ray one more time before a smile grew on her face. "Y'all better be ready to lose then," Viv answers, feeling a bit tipsy already but she was more than determined to have fun, which included the proposed shot contest.
Their kitchen started to fill more as the party goers interested in the shot contest filtered in with Viv's restaurant coworkers. "A shot contest? You sure you can handle that, Viv?" Ray asks with a laugh, as most of their coworkers laughed with him from the corner of the kitchen. Viv rolled her eyes, immediately grabbing their shot glasses from the cabinet and placing them on the counter. "You think you can beat me?" Viv asks with a raise of her eyebrows, challenging him to the very contest. She called his bluff, and Ray shrunk back against the counter, mumbling under his breath. She decided to ignore him, at least until she had more alcohol in her system. She poured shots for everyone that was participating, and held her shot glass up waiting for everyone to be ready.
Her confidence was too high and she had to cut out of the contest by her fifth shot. The mixture of the liquor and the drink Georgie had made for her were well settled into her stomach now and she was practically swimming from the alcohol. She was still a good sport despite her trash talking, making herself a drink to sip on and moving to the side so she could spectate the rest of the contest.
