For a few moments, Akiko was wide awake. She was back in her Shinigami Gray form and standing in front of the Boo Crew as she had been before the ground had swallowed them whole. She could see the sand and hear the waves in her right ear. Her Ghostly Gang stood in front of her. The suit felt unusually heavy. There was a calmness Akiko hadn't felt in what seemed like ages.

Then, beeping from her belt followed by a wave of exhaustion. The lantern popped off and Akiko demorphed, leaving her with the conservative black dress she had chosen for the funeral. She opened her mouth to say something but didn't have a chance before she passed out again.
