"I'll be fine," he whispered, shaking his head and managing a small smile. "I should go back to my own chambers. I don't want to disturb you. You need rest."
Wang Rou attempted to stand again, but failed once more. This time, though, instead of falling back onto the bed, he fell to his knees with a soft grunt. His cheeks burned yet again with a dark blush, feeling incredibly embarrassed to be so weak in front of Lu Cai.
He couldn't stay here. Not after Lu Cai just kissed him like that. Wang Rou didn't trust himself or his thoughts.
"Dianxia," he murmured pleadingly, unable to raise his gaze due to the immense shame he felt, "Please have mercy on this undeserving servant... and help me back to my room."
Wang Rou wanted nothing more than to fall asleep with his beloved prince beside him, but that was out of the question. That was not a luxury that he deserved.
