While facing her own battle trying to rid the source of pain as soon as possible, the newer character came closer and offered his jacket. It was startling at first to find him in such bold proximity but ultimately chivalrous since she had stripped without much thought. “Sorry about that. I normally don't make it my day job to get in people's way. I just had a run-in with the daughter of Aphrodite, and I think my brain got scrambled in the process.”

Her mouth parted and chin inclined slightly as if in understanding. She supposed that was a valid reason to escape if he typically wanted to be the ruler of his own clear thoughts and actions. Evelyn had no words or even a hum to share, rather, with a final zip up, in place of her usual interviewing persona, she found herself browsing him, quizzical as ever. But how was she to grasp what kind of man he was, and what went on in his head within such confined time and circumstances? There were too many variables.

He lowered to the ground and Evelyn's eyes remained attached to him as he picked up the fallen dishware. “I'll... clean this up for you. You can just - give me the jacket back whenever. Again, sorry. Really.” She couldn’t beat him to it because by the time her coherent mind had caught up, the other demigod shot her something of a smile and stepped around her.

Evelyn spun around. It took her a beat before she hastened to fall in stride with him, wrapping her shirt around her waist. “I can take it. It was partly my fault after all.” Without waiting for permission, she plucked at least one dish from him. That was as close to a sorry as she could get. But accidents happened and they didn't need excessive apologies. Not that anything was wrong with one or two in this case. Evelyn simply tended to reserve her apologies and words for the utmost truth and impact.

“You know where you're going?” It could have sounded like a statement because it almost was. Almost. Maybe he wasn't as fresh as appeared or he got his bearings incredibly fast being a quick learner. Theories were running off on her far too fast all because he was heading in the right direction.

There was a lot of biting back behind her lack of conversational skills. Only because she was wrapped in making a judgement on him while avoiding the whole barrage of questions. Otherwise, she looked content in whatever small talk may have passed, or silence walking to the hall with him. Although there was one friendly casual inquiry she could make. “So what brings you here anyway? I mean you seem well-rounded, mature.” Not really the kind that got dragged to camp because they were out of control behaviorally or in terms of power. Perhaps further self-improvement, searching for someone. Regardless, she should really learn to not jump the gun and wait and listen. More accurately, observe because saying and doing could be different things, as could an individual's intentions.

As they neared the hall doors, Evelyn took the final piece of dishware from him and gestured to the doors, so he could open it and she could swoop inside in one fluent motion. She didn't expect he'd follow her to the sink. That might be odd and a little beyond chivalrous, nor would she recommend it so she offered him a farewell out if he wanted it. “Thank you for picking up the mess. And jacket.” Evelyn shrugged in the oversized coat and smiled. He seemed genuine and decent.

From there, she glided through the maze of tables and pushed out chairs to the kitchen. At least, that's where she thought was going to go but she hesitated on sighting Sylas. She saw him earlier with Liv but being on his lonesome didn't make him more approachable. Having her own out with dishes in hand ready for the sink, she contemplated drifting towards him. She wanted to talk to him. Get some form of closure and answers, but as soon as she realized that was her goal, she huffed out a laugh and rolled her eyes. She travelled to the sink, cleaning her own lot vigorously. Who was she kidding?

She could hear her friend but didn’t bother responding, just stared vacantly. It was the same as her footsteps, nearing with every scuffle and snap of leaves and twigs but she couldn't process it. She couldn't...care. Once a hand touched her shoulder, Trinity whipped around, blade pointing for Andy's throat.

Almost immediately upon seeing her, Trinity's eyes widened and she lowered the blade as reality hit. “Sorry,” she panted. “I’m sorry.” She lowered her blade and took a breath to gather herself.

Andy wasn't an easy scare. Instead, the brunette sought out her eyes, levelling with her and the blade was slowly pried from her hands. A little bit of Trinity wanted to resist and clench her comforter back, but she let it slip from her grasp and locked eyes with Andy. “What's wrong?”

Where did she even begin? “I can’t get yesterday out of my head. It scared the shit out of me. Then we had to watch the people we love go through their own torture.” Trinity gestured towards Andy herself. She was the daughter of Ares and pain had its gratification in her books, but the people she cared for were off limits. Even then, they didn’t deserve it. Andy had been through enough without trials. Poor Daniel had to relive his death. And Wes's!? -oof. Boy, she'd like to highjack that illusion and fix a few things.

“Then…” the awkward part. The minute part… If it wasn’t Andy she might not have bothered at all. “Wes and I spent the night together, which was great,” she added quickly, “and I don’t have self-esteem issues but you know – child of Aphrodite, been around and done it all. And Wes isn’t the type to compare but…” she wound her hands through her flannelette tightly. She couldn’t help it. Trinity just really wasn’t a lover yet she wanted to be right for him. It was stressful.

Quickly she waved it away. It was such a useless problem and even then, Andy wasn’t going to be able to fix it. If anyone could, it'd be Wes and she'd just have to open that can of worms with him when the time was right.

“I was going to meet Mason for breakfast. Have you eaten?” She just shook her head while Andy's arm entwined through hers and they were on their way to the hall.

“So what about you anyway? Are you all good?” Because Andy went through her own shit and that dilemma was heavy. Besides, she knew her friend had a habit of trying to bury things and act all fine and make other people her priority. But it was time to focus on herself and Trinity wouldn't let it go until she got the honest truth. Trinity slowed the pace so Andy could spit it out.
