The Solstice Festival. It had never been anything of major importance to the Monaghan family, like it was to others. They were merely human after all. Of course they had celebrated it like the others, but it was never truly in a way or the same reason that other species celebrated it for. The Elves were known to be celebrating in honor and worship of their respective Gods and Magic, Shifters such as wolves had celebrated for its connection to the moon. But some humans, they used it simply as a way to celebrate for the sake of celebrations. But the Monaghans, they had their own reasons. While it may not have been something special or ritualistic, it was respected in their home for the Supernatural folks.

But this year, it was different for Niamh, at the very least. It'd be the first Solstice they got to celebrate with their blood relatives. Ever since finding out about their Succubus nature, Nia's aunt and uncle, Amanda and Havi had made it a point to make sure to educate Niamh on most things about their species's culture, history, religion (if some decided to follow it), and so forth. For Succubi, the Solstice was traditionally a day of celebration that would be hosted in their own territory. But, seeing as what Niamh's circumstances were, they'd have to make due here. In Ariosas. Niamh had spent the entire day preparing for the party at The Nest, as it was the place they always went to nearly every time there was a party of special event. And they'd be damned if they didn't go this year. Until then, they celebrated with their family.

If there was one thing that Niamh discovered about Succubus, it was that they truly did know how to throw a party. Which, wasn't much of a surprise seeing as their species was a self indulgent breed. Niamh have spent a large portion of the day with Amanda and Havi, just lounging around the Monaghan home, smoking and drinking. Small talk and occasional jokes were passed around just as often as a bottle or blunt wad handed over to the next. While Niamh didn't exactly have the closest relationship with Amanda or Havi, Nia could at least tell that the two truly did care, and were trying. And however much Nia did try to shrug off their help and demand they didn't need it, in the end, having people who at least understood was enough.

The transition from human, to something entirely different in the snap of finger was beyond terrifying, but knowing they had people who were willing to help, it lessened the strain and fear. If just only a little. Slowly the hours passed, and the sun was beginning to get close to setting. Which meant they had about an hour before the party at The Nest would begin. Niamh parted from their family and had made their way over to Arlo's. Thankfully, Nia had lived by rather close and made it much earlier than they had intended.

Normally, Niamh would have waited outside, and gone in when enough people had showed up, but seeing as it was a special day, they had gone in to scout out Arlo. And when they found the Harpy, Nia gave him one of their signature hugs. It was soft and gentle, but always held a sense of warmth. A sort of hug that could make just about the hardest of stone soften. The two chatted for a bit, before Nia figured they'd go and see some of the others. But made sure to hand Arlo over an old pocket watch. It was one that Havi had cleaned up and repaired. No one would even know that it used to be considered a relic due to how much it sparkled in the sunlight. Niamh knew it would help keep him distracted long enough. Smiling when they knew their intention worked, and watched as the Harpy was entranced by it as he went to put it somewhere safe.

Nia had looked around and seen a few of the others there already; Diana, Kayleigh, and a few others. Nia sent a small smile and wave their way. They would have approached and struck up a conversation, but Niamh knew it was probably best to avoid that for tonight. There wasn't any noticable tension between Nia and Diana, but this was one of their off periods between them, and Niamh wasn't going to cut it short just yet. Didn't want to appear too desperate. So, instead, they decided it'd be best to take a smoke break. Clear their head, and maybe see who else would be coming to the party.

Niamh hung at the front end of The Nest. Keeping their back pressed against one of the walls as they propped themself up against a small outcropping of the stone wall. If anyone told them to stop sitting in a place that wasn't technically a spot, oh well. They could be doing worse. Nia retrieved their packet of cigarettes and lit it with their lighter and leaned back comfortably. The music from inside The Nest was audible enough from where Nia sat, so the air wasn't entirely silent with where they stationed themself. But it was enough away from most people that they wouldn't be bothered if someone didn't come looking for them.

The Succubus placed the cigarette to their lips, took a deep inhale, held it, and slowly let out a plume of white smoke. Nia eyed the orange and yellow embers at the end, entranced with the heat for a moment before they heard a voice say their name. Almost instantly, Niamh recognized who it was. Looking up, they gave her a small grin, "Priya." they answered softly back. Normally, Niamh would have used a more sarcastic, cynical tone with the Sun Elf in question, which would have most likely been referred to as Princess. But, not today. Niamh figured they could do some common decency, and greet her properly without any provocation. Niamh gave the Sun Elf a small nod as she walked passed, not bothering to stop her on the way in.

Niamh practically avoided locking eyes with Crowley. They knew he didn't like them very much, which, was entirely understandable. Nia wouldn't pretend to like him either in return. But it didn't mean they would treat him unkindly or in a cruel fashion. They just weren't friends, but there also wasn't a need to treat him rudely either. Instead, Niamh gave him a simple nod as a greeting as he passed by. But Niamh did notice the third figure that was with the other two, as it was how the trio worked by this point. The Succubus gave a small, genuine smile to the werewolf. As well as giving a small nod of greeting, "Koda." Niamh's voice came out a bit softer than they would have liked. They eyed the werewolf up for a moment, making sure to look over the outfit and body paint properly, before their grin spread a little more. "You're looking...Good. Enjoy the party." they gave her a small wink. They weren't going to stop her from going inside with Crowley and Priya, seeing as that's why she was here. But they'd be lying if they said they wouldn't appreciate a...certain company. At least for a little while.
