Camilla had just gotten off stage after the end of a show and had started going through her phone when she noticed a DM from someone she didnβt expect, Soren Bowers. He was inviting her to some sort of party, βfor good ole timesβ and other things were mentioned. Cam rolled her eyes at the thought of hanging out with some of the people from high school and just dropped a βkβ and went back to hanging out with her band and talking to her managers. The next couple of messages she just left on read, thinking that it could be a good idea as she hadnβt seen most of them in a while, but wasnβt sure if she would have time, never giving an answer.
But as it got closer and closer to the date, Camilla set plans to go to the party. Her bandmates were going on their honeymoon after the tour, so this gave her some free time so she decided she would go, a bit of a surprise to herself and the others. Plus it would be nice to see Soren again, maybe clear some air on things if possible. But also recently her and Lauren have talked a bit more, Lauren somehow getting her international number the two hit it off like old friends and nothing had changed. Cam mentioned the party to her, thinking it wasnβt a big issue and Lauren quickly said she would be going, and Camilla just replying with the laughing crying emoji, knowing it would steer up some drama.
The night of the party finally came and Camilla was ready. She had ordered a vehicle to pick her up from a private taxi service, not exactly wanting to take a normal taxi. Cam posted a picture she took earlier to her instagram and sent a few messages to some of her friends and made sure her makeup and hair looked good in her phone camera as the vehicle headed to the address Soren mentioned in the invite.
Camilla climbed out of the vehicle as the driver opened the door for her and she handed him some cash to cover a tip before she walked up the stairs. As the door opened, a smirk came across Camβs face, and a flow of the high school and graduation parties came back to her. She quickly headed in and saw Soren and Erin talking, Soren seeing her first and saying something to Erin. βNot a bad place, guess the bar didnβt crash and burn after all. And niceβ¦. Bird shirtβ¦β Camilla trailed off, before dismissing herself and joining the rest of the party.
The party was just starting to get rowdy, Camilla noticed a message from Lauren, just a selfie inside of a vehicle. She put her phone away and looked up, seeing a familiar person from high school, one of her few exes that didnβt try to get back with her when she had success, and one she didn't mind. Simon. βHey there, Riz, long time no see. I heard you had a nice comic book store going.β Cam brought up, taking a sip of her drink.

The party invite first came from Soren, all the details about the when and the where, but not exactly about the who. Robyn assumed most of the others from high school would be there, the ones she obviously stayed in contact with and were still in New York would probably be there, but the ones out of state possibly wouldnβt be there. She was curious about whether or not Lauren would be there, the two of them didnβt end on bad terms, but she knew some of the others did, and was worried about there being drama.
Robyn originally was going to come up with some excuse about not going, worried about possible drama, but also the thought that hanging out all the others would bring back memories with Nathan who she was still grieving about. She was out at her favorite bookstore, The Cozy Book Nook, seeing if they had any books on sale when Simon brought up the party. Robyn dodged confirming if she was going or not, but when Simon said he was going and eventually asked if she was, she caved. Saying she was probably just going to stay home, but Simon asked if she wanted to go with him, and something made her say yes. She wrote down her address on a napkin as they set up a time for Simon to come by her place so they could head to the party together.
The day of the party arrived, and Robyn spent most of the day getting ready; figuring out what to wear, painting her nails cyan, curling her hair, and just trying to get herself mentally ready for tonight. She had started pacing around her house, mostly in the hallway in front of her door waiting for Simon, telling herself this wasnβt a date, and that Nate would be okay with her doing this. When he rang the doorbell, she jumped a little bit before putting on the last minute puff of perfume and opening the door. Robyn smiled as the two of them exchanged stares before Simon gave her a compliment. βThanks, I really like your hair.β She replied, though a bit embarrassed that that was all she could say at the moment. βAnd the jacket.β Robyn added, but probably didnβt help.
She took Simonβs hand as he offered to help her out of the taxi. She took it without a second thought, but there was a comforting feeling when she grasped him as she stepped out. Simon was the one to break their hands with an apology, Robyn wasnβt even sure how much time had passed, but the air felt a bit empty now. βItβs fine!β She said quickly, probably a bit too fast. She just pushed the thought to the back of her mind as Simon gestured for her to go first, and the two of them entered the party and handed a drink by someone.
Robyn felt she was taken out of reality as she scanned the party, seeing the familiar faces from all the years ago, a few memories flying through her head like flashbacks. She was only brought back down to earth as she heard Simonβs voice and saw his hand held out and asked for a dance. She was hesitant at first, but raised her glaze from his hand up to his eyes. βYes. Kind sir.β Robyn replied with a giggle and a smile, letting him lead her to the more center of the room where people were dancing.
The two of them dancing was nice, probably the most carefree thing she had done in a while, and even then, it was the stream she did with Gabriella. After a few songs Robyn was having a good time when she noticed her drink was empty and was still thirsty. βHey, Iβm going to get some more to drink? You want anything?β She asked, before doing a small twirl away and heading to the kitchen and fun party signs pointing to the drinks.
As she entered the kitchen she accidentally bumped into someone and quickly apologizing, it took her a moment to recognize who it was. βDean!β She exclaimed loudly and opened her arms up and gave Dean a hug. βHow have you been? Howβs the restaurant?β She asked, walking around him and grabbing a cup and filling it up with whatever alcohol punch they had and taking a sip.
