Miiya

Miiya let herself be led into one of the conference rooms and debriefed. She gave a confident and not-too-embellished account of all that had transpired in the bazaar, checkpoint, and docks. When asked why she had not checked in sooner, she recalled that her PED had been jammed during the abduction, and that it had been destroyed by her slide under the gate at the checkpoint.

After her debrief, the young Aeros was released to medical for an evaluation. She was relieved because her thigh had continued to bother her, but the injury was not in a place she could really publicly inspect.

”That’s a nasty bruise, there’s extensive tissue damage, but the cuts are shallow and the bone is fine. I’ll disinfect, clean, dress it, and I can give you something for the pain if you like.” The RN suggested. ”It should heal fine on its own. I could stim it, but you want to limit how much stimming you do at your age.”

“Okay, sounds good, I’ll be fine.” Miiya replied, looking at the bloody mottled skin. It was ugly, but it was high enough that her clothes would cover it. “Guess I won’t be wearing shorts for a while.”

“You mentioned an episode of A-fib, I’d like to do an echocardiogram, if that’s okay.” The nurse continued.

“Meh, it’s not really necessary, I get those when I do something strenuous. It’s part of my genes edits, check my file.” Miiya shrugged. “I mean, you can if you want, but it’s going to come back normal.”
