A single man sat alone meditating in his room, making not a single sound, sitting solemnly. Had anyone looked in they would have thought him a statue. The room was adorned with artifacts of samurai past, a perfect setting for this man, Saito Renbara. He had been sitting in this perfectly still state for hours, waiting. Finally, the clock struck twelve, and his eyes opened, like a statue coming to life. The world around him became an eery shade of green, and a strange calming silence filled the air.
"So it is finally that time..." He stood up and grabbed his trusted weapon, his nodachi, a weapon that was incredibly difficult to weild, yet through his years of training Saito weilded it like an ordinary katana. When he was ready he left the building, entering the bright green streets. His eyes shifted left to right, scanning the coffins that filled the area. Inside them lay those who did not have the potential to witness the dark hour, those without the power of persona. Saito then looked up at the moon.
"That moon...It never changes. Beautiful yet ugly at the same time." He shook his head. He had no time to think about the past. He had come out tonight to investigate. "I had best get moving." Clinching his weapon he stepped forward into the night. Moments later he stopped as he felt a dark, familiar presence. "So, you have finally come for me..." As he finished his sentence six shadows formed around him. These black creatures which resembled a puddle of slime with a strange mask, moved in a circle around him. "Pathetic fools! Is this all you challenge me with? Then come and face me." Saito drew his sword and rushed forward, yet he didn't attack. He ran between two shadows and spun around. Using this momentum he slashed the two from their backs, slaying them. He then slid across the battlefield and slashed a shadow upward, only to leap up and and slash it back down. The creature also evaporated away. When he came down he turned with his left foot and stabbed backwards, through the mask of another shadow. Finally, he spun to the left, evading an attack and countering, slicing the shadow in half. Saito's movements were dance-like, elegent yet ferocious at the same time. He sheethed his nodachi and turned away. However, there was one shadow left, who lept to attack. Saito reached in his coat and grabbed a black gun-likle object: his Evoker. "Susano'o!" He said as he pulled the trigger, which caused the image of glass breaking around Saito. That glass formed into a man clad in white armor, weilding a sword very much like Saito's. "Hama!" Saito commanded, and with those words the man held his hand up, causing a flash of light to fill the shadow, killing it instantly. After the attack the man disappeared. "These fools are nothing in the face of Susano'o." Saito said. He then heard the sounds of combat nearby. He walked through an alley to see Aika fighting some shadows, in which she dispactched quickly.
"Hmph....Not bad. It seems that everyone is getting stronger." He said to himself. Nomally, he would investigate the Dark Hour on his own. It was not that he disliked his allies, it was just his way of fighting. He was not as foolish however to not accept help when needed, as he would also help them when they needed it as well. He may act calm and collected, but on the inside he cares for the fellow members of S.E.E.S., seeing as they are the closest thing he has as a family anymore. Saito smirked as time returned to normal, the sky becoming dark blue.
"Well, it is time I head back." He said, as he turned and headed back to the dorms.
