“Well, my dear girl, I’m more than happy to have you at my side. Between you and me, I’ve invited the gypsies to dance and perform for us today and the circus tomorrow, so it should be full of excitement. The ringmaster assures me that we’ll not want for entertainment when he brings out his crew.”

“Gypsies?” A smile formed on her lips. Gypsies were wonderful people in her eyes for they had a love for dance, music, art and nature. Strange yet fascinating people who saw more things then she could ever dream of. When she looked at her father, she saw him beaming with pride at his achievements. He looked so much younger now then the last time she saw him or maybe... she had just forgotten?

The sound of footsteps drew their attention to her companion and friend, Ysabel, who seemed rather displeased. Oh no, she must have forgotten to do something but what? With a call, the young maid spoke, “Lovely girl, where have you been? I did not expect this rendezvous to take as long as it did. Come, you must...do something other than sit here, reflecting. It's so unladylike!”

“She’s right, you know, Estelle. It’s only a scant two hours until the festival starts and you should have time to rest, relax, and prepare for it. I myself am running a bit behind on schedule. I’ll never hear the end of it from Luxon.”

As she opened her mouth to speak as her father walked off, the fair girl closed it, unsure as to what to say.

“By the way, Estelle. Keep in mind that your Mother has been practicing magic for at least twice as long as you have. Naturally, hers would be stronger. It takes practice, experience, and time to perfect the art. I’m looking forward to escorting you to the festival.”

Her face beamed with reassurance as he waved off, “Thank you father.” she whispered as Ysabel took control of the situation. “I'm coming,” she stood up. “Back to our room we go?”
