A young man raised his head to look at the castle before him, this place they called Shadowmere Academy. He was rather unkempt in appearance, but then his appearance had been rather sudden and odd. It was as if he'd fallen out of the sky, for he was merely there without warning. Shrugging his oversized jacket back into place, he began to walk towards the great building, whistling a tune as he went. For the most part, he ignored the goings on within the grounds as he headed for the doors, letter of acceptance in hand. But in one instance, a larger, bulkier boy decided to try his hand at bullying the smaller.

Dylan just grinned as the boy and his cronies strutted into view, obviously intent on smashing his face in. But as the blow came without warning, it merely bounced off, a full inch off of his skin. Then, he leaped impossibly high to sail overhead, evading the gang with contemptuous ease. Waving a farewell at the baffled tyrants, he spoke. "Pleased to get the traditional Shadowmere welcome, if you could call it that!"

And with a laugh, Dylan Hawk strode through the doors, humming as he took in the sights of the Main Hall.
