Elina took a breath and slid out from her chair. The teacher never really called on her, given the fact she almost always had her hand up for answering and once unintentionally corrected her during a lecture, and now she was going to have to miss part of class.

She stepped out of the classroom door and into the hallway, crossing her arms over her chest. "Make it quick," Elina said shortly, now kind of annoyed and disgruntled at the fact of prolonging the time before she could check her room. Her body stiffened when her fingers brushed against the seam of her shirt, unnaturally puckered and rough, and Elina realizing that in the rush of getting to class she'd put her shirt on inside out and who knew what else on wrong. Her neck began to itch like crazy and her cheeks felt hot, and Elina was sure she was colored embarrassment.

At least I remembered my skirt, she thought dryly, rolling her eyes sub-consciously. Suddenly Elina became aware she was with someone else other than herself for once, and that normal beings usually talked. Elina took a glance at him, not remembering his name. Annoyance replaced her embarrassment as she recognized that if he hadn't forgotten his stupid books, she probably would have drifted through the day as if nothing was wrong. If I stay quiet, time will go faster, she decided as she absently played with her necklace.
