After an awkward conversation about her father's job in the car, Tanner hopped out of the car as fast as she possibly could and ran into their house. She lived on the more suburban side of town. There were few apartments and condos on this side of town. As soon as Tanner entered her room, she sat on her bed and opened up her laptop. With her phone next to her on her bed, Tanner looked around her room. Her walls were a soft mint green color and a variety of colored and black-and-white photographs from modelling shoots Tanner had were posted over the walls. She realized her glasses getting foggy, so she wiped them off. Why won't it ring? she thought as she stared at her phone screen. She thought for a minute, then she realized that there'd be no way he was going to call her tonight. He's a fairly shy guy, he didn't seem totally into her, and was kind of hesitant to add his number to her phone. All the signs point to "no", Tanner thought. He was not going to call, even though Tanner really wanted him to.
